U.S. Rep. David Wu spoke briefly to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi Saturday after Pelosi's meeting at the White House to discuss the federal debt ceiling.
The substance of the conversation was not disclosed, but congressional sources familiar with the thinking and attitude of congressional leadership said it's likely that Pelosi told Wu to resign and to step down soon.
Other Democratic leaders are expressing the same desire, according to those familiar with the deliberation.
In June, Pelosi released a statement calling on former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., to step down after a similar Saturday conversation. Weiner's offense -- sending lewd pictures of himself via Twitter -- was far less severe than the one Wu is alleged to have committed. Even so, when Weiner's case became a public firestorm, Pelosi quickly called for his resignation. Weiner had told her of his plan to get treatment and to take the leave.

Joe was moderately successful in his career, but as he got older he was increasingly hampered by incredible headaches. When his personal hygiene and love life started to suffer, he sought medical help. After being referred from one specialist to another, he finally came across a doctor who solved the problem.
“The good news is I can cure your headaches... The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition which causes your testicles to press up against the base of your spine. The pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles.”
Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He couldn’t concentrate long enough to answer, but decided he had no choice but to go under the knife.
When he left the hospital, his mind was clear, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself. As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life.
He walked past a men’s clothing store and thought, “That’s what I need: a new suit.” He entered the shop and told the salesman, “I’d like a new suit.”
The salesman eyed him briefly and said, “Let’s see... size 44 long.” Joe laughed, “That’s right, how did you know?”
“It’s my job.”
Joe tried on the suit. It fit perfectly. As Joe admired himself in the mirror, the salesman asked, “How about a new shirt?” Joe thought for a moment and then said, “Sure...”
The salesman eyed Joe and said, “Let’s see... 34 sleeve and... 16 and a half neck” Joe was surprised, “That’s right, how did you know?”
“It’s my job.”
Joe tried on the shirt, and it fit perfectly. As Joe adjusted the collar in the mirror, the salesman asked, “How about new shoes?” Joe was on a roll and said, “Sure...”
The salesman eyed Joe’s feet and said, “Let’s see... 9-1/2... E.” Joe was astonished, “That’s right, how did you know?”
“It’s my job.”
Joe tried on the shoes and they fit perfectly. Joe walked comfortably around the shop and the salesman asked, “How about a new hat?” Without hesitating, Joe said, “Sure...”
The salesman eyed Joe’s head and said, “Let’s see... 7-5/8.” Joe was incredulous, “That’s right, how did you know?”
“It’s my job.”
The hat fit perfectly. Joe was feeling great, when the salesman asked, “How about some new underwear?” Joe thought for a second and said, “Sure...” The salesman stepped back, eyed Joe’s waist and said, “Let’s see... size 36.”
Joe laughed, “No, I’ve worn size 34 since I was 18 years old.”
The salesman shook his head, “You can’t wear a size 34. It would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache.”

I’m not so sure it’s BS. Years ago a married minister at my church was making inappropriate calls to me. When I complained to another pastor on staff, I was told, “You should be flattered.” It was a couple of months later when yet another senior pastor was back in the country (he was on a missionary tour when the calls took place), I talked with him and the situation was dealt with. In the meantime, my distress didn’t go away; I just didn’t have any other recourse at the time. Perhaps it’s a similar situation with this girl. Sometimes it takes a while for the emotional and mental stress to surface.
ANOTHER classic example of why...

Sounds like this guy is in big trouble, but like so many Dems, he's apparently been getting away with this kind of behavior for decades.
The really weird part, is that he grew up in Orange County, California, which was about as red as red gets when he was a kid there. Guy goes off to Stanford and becomes a wack job lib. If his parents are still living, they've got to be mortified.
I believe he’ll be gone by the August break. The Dhimmies have no desire to carry water for Wu, especially on the heels of the Anthony Weiner fiasco.

I think that for this congress the horndog resignation score is 4 RATS to 1 Pubbie. Nazi better get out the male chastity belts or she’s going to need an out of sequence election to replenish her perverts. You just have to wonder how anything ever gets done in the House (at least for the male members). They all seem to be more interested in doing something perverted with their “members.”

He’s apparently being accused of sexual assault or rape. (Of which he may well be innocent.) But I’ve never heard this euphemism before.

He won’t run for Governor. I hope that CNN will hire him, but for the life of me I don’t know why they would.
He’s my supposed representative, and we don’t hear hide nor hair from him until election time rolls around. Then we might get a flier in the mail.
I’ve heard more about this guy because of these scandals than I have about any legislation he’s been involved with. He’s nothing more than Pelosi’s lap dog. He votes with her 97% of the time.
There are other, more sane ‘rats who are going to oppose him. I will be surprised if he will be their candidate in ‘12.
CNN would hire him because Eliot Spitzer got canned and CNN needs someone to fill that spot.
Unless Wu wears the tiger suit, he will be much more boring than Spitzer.
