13.14 Norwegian police have released the six suspects briefly detained following the raid in Oslo this morning (see 12.07).

A statement released by the police says no explosives were found at the location, and no evidence was found to connect the suspects with Friday's acts of terror.

At a guess, the Norwegian police are just thrashing around and looking busy.

Einstufen can mean to categorize, pigeonhole, assess, sort out, order. That’s how it’s being used here. Der Spiegel is saying “this is how he, in his mind, sorts out, these matters, how he assembles, categorizes the various aspects.”

Update from the above link:

13.26 It appears Breivik stole large chunks of his manifesto from the Unabomber.

While most of the document is acurately sourced, Breivik makes no reference to Ted Kaczynski, who killed three people and injured 23 others during a 20 year long mail bombing spree under the alias Unabomber.

Brevik often copies Kaczynski word for word, only changing the word ‘leftist’ for ‘cultural Marx’.

If you read Breivik’s Knight’s templar Log - there was a Serbian involved who was directing Breivik.

This log goes into great deal of the planning of the killings.

You are being charitable towards those Keystone Kops.

Any so called "SWAT TEAM" which takes 90 minutes to respond to a terrorist attack and cowardly sit until the perp runs out of ammo or stops shooting and is that obviously "un-prepared" (as reported their Helicopter was not available...what, no backup, no civilian chopper they could use?) should be disbanded and (like the ones who sat around with their fingers up their butts at Columbine) deserve to be condemned and blamed for many needless deaths on the Island.

Heck one cop with a long gun riding in a helo (or dropped on the Island) could have taken this perp out easily.

DISGRACEFULL and I'm betting that our Seal Team/Delta Force members are shaking their heads and referring to these un-professional, wusses, in not very flattering ways.

Can you copy/paste that part here?

“It appears Breivik stole large chunks of his manifesto from the Unabomber”

That’s interesting. Is that a rumor or is it actually sourced?

Latest Telegraph update:
13.51 Norwegian news organisation Dagbladet has a story on a man with a military background who 'saved 20 to 30 youths from the Utoya Island shooting'.

Marcel Gleffe was drinking coffee with family outside his wagon when he heard shots, and was among the first to reach the youths.

"The first one I picked up shouted ‘terrorist, terrorist, terrorist!” he told Dagbladet. Gleffe then took four or five trips back to the island, ferrying people to safety.

"The youths were great. They supported each other and were organised, and told me who needed first aid,” he said.

"They were glad to receive help, but were unsure of who to trust."

Mr Gleffe has been on foreign military missions, and said he recognised an automatic weapon immediately. He said did not fear for his own life.

“I did it instinctively,” he said. "You don’t become scared in a situation like that, you just do what is necessary.”

“I know the difference between fireworks and shots. I knew what it was about, and that it wasn’t just any nonsense.”

13.48 The right-wing group English Defence League, has denied that Breivik, 32, had any links with them and said they "vehemently" opposed his actions.

In a statement on its website the group wrote:

Quote Terrorism and extremism of any kind is never acceptable

We strongly oppose extremism and always reject any suggestion of us being either extremists or far-right, due to our great past record of dealing with anyone who holds such extremist views.

The Nordic Defence League also distanced itself from the killings.

13.43 Foreign Secretary William Hague has warned

that Britain's security forces may not be able to stop a Norway-style terror attack.

Mr Hague said it was harder to prevent atrocities by determined individuals than sophisticated networks such as al Qaida.

He said the Government had put expertise from crimes like the July 7 bombings at the disposal of the Norwegian authorities.

Quote The National Security Council will meet tomorrow in London and we will look at the lessons to be learned from this.

We will check that enough attention is being given to all forms of terrorism.

And of course we've put in place over the last few years - in the last government and the current government - strong defences.

We have tight firearms controls in Britain and we have very tight controls on the sale of material needed to manufacture a bomb, and we have the most highly professionally trained firearms officers in the world.

"Well, we all know that the Masonic lodges are hotbeds of international terrorism.

I don't know about a hotbed...the last meal I got from our local's fish-fry was pretty lukewarm.

Nuconvert, you are so spot-on regarding the terrorist-nature of the Masons.

King George III needed to keep track of all those Masons in the Colonies.... Many of America’s founding fathers were Masons, including George Washington.

April/May 2002

I am the Norwegian delegate to the founding meeting in London, England and ordinated as the 8th Justiciar Knight for the PCCTS, Knights Templar Europe. I joined the session after visiting one of the initial facilitators, a Serbian Crusader Commander and war hero, in Monrovia, Liberia. Certain long term tasks are delegated and I am one of two who are asked to create a compendium based on the information I have acquired from the other founders during our sessions. Our primary objective is to develop PCCTS, Knights Templar into becoming the foremost conservative revolutionary movement in Western Europe the next few decades. This in relation to developing a new type of European nationalism referred to as Crusader Nationalism. This new political denomination of nationalism will become the foremost counterweight to National Socialism and other cultural conservative political denominations, on the cultural right wing. Everyone is using code names; mine is Sigurd (the Crusader) while my assigned mentor is referred to as Richard (the Lionhearted). I believe Im the youngest one here.”

Is the Oslo Gunman Really Right-Wing?

Posted on July 23, 2011 at 1:25pm by Jonathon M. Seidl

It’s also important to note that the terms of American politics are not easily transferable to European politics. Often, the extremes in Europe are communists on the left and fascists on the right. In America, “extreme right wing” has been hijacked to label conservatives who adhere strictly to the Constitution, or who fight for legal immigration. (Some on the American left have even succeeded in making “extreme right wing” synonymous with the Tea Party.) In Europe, however, the term could mean zealous nationalists and militant fascists.

So, an “extreme right wing” individual in Europe is not always an “extreme right wing” individual in America. That’s important to note, as the designation will undoubtedly make the rounds in the attack’s aftermath.

Considering what we know about Breivik, then, could it be that the term “extreme right wing” is a misnomer? Especially considering that when you start dealing with extremist groups and individuals who fall well beyond the fringe, their beliefs often blur — they handpick a tenant from the right and bastardize it, grab an ideology from the left and skew it, and then create their own belief system.

Breivik’s beliefs — and the actions he implemented — may show he and his ideology are as fuzzy as they come.
