NRSC donates to Hatch despite pleas from Tea Party activists (NRSC backs multiple RINOs)

The National Republican Senatorial Committee gave $43,100 to Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch’s campaign, despite recent pleas from Tea Party activists that the organization wait until a Republican nominee is selected before supporting a candidate.

New filings show that the NRSC also contributed the same amount to Indiana Sen. Dick Lugar, who is also facing a GOP primary challenge. That candidate, Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, also enjoys the support of Tea Party activists.

A spokesman for the NRSC said its standard practice for the organization to give money to incumbent senators.

“The NRSC would not exist were it not for the support and fundraising efforts of all of our Republican Senators, and we assist every incumbent who is facing a competitive or potentially competitive race,” said spokesman Brian Walsh.

Which is why my contributions go to individual candidates, and never to any Republican organization.

The only way I will support a candidate is indiviudally. I love it when these committes call for donations. I take pleasure in berating the poor caller so they will be sure to send the message back to whoever told them to call me.

Phoney hispanic "republican" front group encourages the GOP to use the "un American" tea partiers and then toss us aside.

How Un-American is the TEA PARTY

Are they so “irrational” and merely a self-centered group revolutionary geezers that do not hold American ideal and thus attack our American values—Democracy, Capitalism and Constitutionalism. Strategically, it seems like the right thing to do for Republican to utilize the Tea Party to diminish Obama’s agenda. But it is also time for Republicans that realize that this people merely using the flag colors as facade to promote un-American agenda . While they do have the right to dissent, sadly, their agenda pushed by special interest in Sacramento and D.C. do not embody the original best American values.

This primary election should be about slapping the GOP up side the head for supporting crap like lugar and Hatch and a few others.
Time to flush the RINOs down the latrine and push Conservatives.
Jump on board or get steamrolled, heh Mr. Boehner???

NRSC gets contributions from each and every Republican Senator.

NRSC is run by country club republicans (RiNoS).

Donate to your preferred candidates directly.

Just John Cornyn protecting his own kind of politician. Can’t be losing any of those RINO’s can we. Remember what happened in Alaska.

‘The NRSC would not exist....”

If that’s the way they play then we need to have a debate about whether or not they should exist.

I feel the same way about the NRCC. In 08 they threw my conservative congressman overboard. They declared that he had no chance and stripped him of funds. He lost by a whopping 2% and we were stuck with a marxist for two years.

My conservative congressman was reelected last November whether the NRCC wanted him or not.

National Republican Senatorial Committee

Their mandate is to get Pub Senators reelected. Good or bad, they are for the incumbent.

Just keep donating and volunteering for the candidate looking to primary the incumbent.

Of course the NRSC will give money to Orrin Hatch! He’s the sitting Senior Senator from Utah! If the Tea Party wants to unseat him, we’ll have to find a better, electable candidate who can give him a real run for his money. This is the perfect time to point out the failure of the GOP establishment, once they moved away from the principles of lower taxes, reducing government spending, and less government involvement in our everyday lives.

If you want to give to campaigns for Conservatives in the GOP, give to Senator Jim DeMeint’s Conservative GOP PAC.

Am I saying it’s perfect as well? No.

But it’s 1000% better than the NRSC.

That’s just my opinion.

That debate most certainly does need to be had. The NRSC only serves the interests of K street lobbyists and carrer politicians not the people, or the states. It amplifies the power of incumbency, nepotism, centralized government, and control of the party by politicians, instead of control of politicians by the people working through the party structure. I see no positive reasons for the NRSC or NRCC to exist.
