Troy Middle School teacher Kaci Suzanne Pomerenke, 31, was charged Thursday with having an improper sexual relationship as an educator with a 14-year-old student, Bell County Sheriff Dan Smith said.
An investigation began after Bell County received information in an allegation on July 19 from Troy ISD Superintendent Neil Jeter, who said a middle school teacher had sex with a student.
The student told investigators he had sexual intercourse with Pomerenke in her vehicle on three occasions and was told by her not to tell anyone, according to the affidavit.
The investigation was screened by the Bell County District Attorney’s office and a warrant was obtained for Pomerenke’s arrest.

Man, just about any kind of relationship I can think of would be improper with that.

Yep it seems that this is all too common.
I think part of it is how the whole culture has become so open and relaxed about any sexual activity, any number of partners, any gender of partners.
All of these 20 and 30 something teachers grew up in the permissive era we now live in, in which it’s okay to have sex outside of marriage, okay to have sex with random boyfriends, okay to have sex with anyone.
Their better judgement should tell them that having sex with anyone means another consenting adult, but as sexual barriers have fallen, there is no barrier in these teachers minds to adult/adolescent sex.
The fact that we have become so open about all sexual matters creates a culture in which student/teacher sex or adult/adolescent sex doesn’t seem so bad to the adult who participates.
On the other hand, since we’re so open about sex matters, this is one of the taboo areas that still exists in the sexual area.
A fourteen year old boy will do a knot hole and that woman is living proof.
Has she admitted to it? Kids lie. So until she says she did it, I’m not going to jump to any conclusions. If she did, then throw her behind bars, but if she didn’t then her life has been ruined. There was a teacher not far from Troy who recently committed suicide over such allegations and afterward the student admitted she’d lied.
I find the student guilty of poor taste.

Oh, puleez. These young teachers weren't even born back when I was in school and it was happening back then. It's nothing new and has nothing to do with today's world.
I thought bestiality was illegal in Texas. No?
If it was okay for this woman to have sex when she WAS a 14-year-old, why shouldn't she have sex WITH a 14-year-old?

You are correct, just no one did anything about it, when I was in high school we had one married teacher that had a new friend on the football team each year, she would let him borrow her car and probably help polish the seat.
