I’ve been puzzled ever since Obama first started campaigning for president. Why do Jews support him? It cannot be their love for learning influenced by his great grades in any of his colleges. He has refused to disclose them. So it’s, Oh! Who cares about them? “He had to do well to become editor and chief of the Harvard Law Review,” they chirp. Actually, he was the president of the HLR, and he was appointed to that position. It couldn’t be because of his great record in the Illinois Senate. He never initiated a bill and merely voted a majority of times “present.” It couldn’t be because of his support for Israel throughout the years. He was close friends with Louis Farrakhan, Father Pfleger and Rashid Khalidi, and he attended the meetings of Palestinian radicals in Chicago.

It’s an old chestnut: Jews earn like Episcopalians and vote like Puerto Ricans. I’m a non-Jew, who grew up in New York City. In my experience, Jews, taken as a group (pace), are as generous, kind, grateful and thoughtful as any people on earth, if a bit clannish. Jews tend to identify with outsiders and align themselves with the party of the outsiders, the Democrats. Even if it kills them.
Not all Jews support Obama, To many its a case of who brought this schmuck to the convention when we had Hillary? Being a democrat is usually passed on from one generation to the next. It isn’t only a Jewish thing. Politics is being treated as sports team, its more like a Red Sox’s vs Yankees mind set.
Of course it's a religion with abortion as its highest sacrament. I equate the Jews' total love of the anti-Semitic, muslim Hussein Nobama with the Negroes' love of the Democrat left who historically have embraced the Civil War south's insurrection, murdered Abraham Lincoln, created the KKK, had Negro-hating politicians such as George Wallace and Sen. Sheets Byrd in positions of power, were totally against the Civil Rights laws, and have done nothing more than destroy their entire family lifestyle and return them to abject political slavery and subservience.
So the Jews love Hussein Obambi, and the Negro-Americans are on the plantation with the Democratic Party. Go figure. And no matter how many facts you place in front of either groups, they're totally blinded by Republican hatred. I'll never figure that out.
After the Czarist Pogroms, can you blame them? BTW, I think you left out Lazar Kaganovich, the Wolf of the Kremlin and his relatives, one of which, his sister, was Stalin’s 3rd wife. (LOL, Now that’s what I call moving up in the Party.) Gotta love FR, you really can get well educated here compared to DU.

FTR, the only Christians I have a problem with the ones who helped return Elian Gonzales to Castro, &c. But I don't even hate them. I just oppose them. I suppose it's a distinction with a difference you would have trouble understanding.

He went on to explain that so many Jews feel guilty about their success in life. Jews seem to attract success without even trying and then when it comes they feel like they don't deserve it. So they support DemocRATS because they believe The DemocRAT Party is the friend of the poor and the downtrodden and they think they can atone for their success by supporting DemocRATS.
At the end, he went into one of his classic Jackie Mason rants, "It's craziness, Michael. It's a sickness. Gentiles can't understand it. I don't understand it." He went on for about two more minutes in that vein. It was awesome.
Jews who are REAL Jews (actual believers) wouldn’t vote for Obambi’s socialism.

First of all, it may be more accurate to ask "Why do so many Jews still support Obama?".
Jews, after all, are not monolithic, as is evidenced by the number of Jewish FReepers we have around here.
The great Jewish immigration of the early 20th century brought many people to this country who were influenced by the writings of Karl Marx, at a time when the true horrors of Marxism were not yet apparent. Jews had a long history of persecution in Europe, and they came with a strong tradition of sympathy for the downtrodden which still prevails today, which has translated into support for liberal causes.
Accordingly, during the 20th century, Jews have been in the forefront of support for liberal, neo-socialist causes such as trade unionism, and later, black civil rights. And although Jews have prospered in the United States, pulling themselves by their own bootstraps from the slums of New York to a position of power and prosperity in America, for many, this liberal tradition has become an integral part of the American Jewish self-identity which still carries on today.
Secondly, Jews, like many other Americans, can be intellectually lazy when it comes to politics. Let's face it, FReepers are "politics junkies", but the vast majority of Americans are largely apolitical and only become slightly interested in politics in election years, and it's easy if your self-identity is long established by years of family and group tradition. This isn't just an American Jewish phenomenon - one can easily wonder why blue-collar Americans (you know, those gun-owning, deer hunting patriotic Christian "bitter clingers") are easily persuaded to vote like their union stewards tell them they should, or why 97% of African-Americans vote for the party that keeps them in perpetual second and third-class bondage by convincing them that they are indeed so inherently deficient that they cannot prosper on their own talents, without their liberal plantation masters to guide them and provide them with massive income redistribution,
Thirdly, there is the comforting self-delusion that liberals are morally and intellectually superior to the "others" who are not liberal. It's kind of like the college sophomore who think that they are intellectuals by default, smarter than their parents, smarter than those "Joe Lunchbucket" types who work for their living.
So why do so many Jews (and blacks, union lemmings and academics) support a leftist ideology that trades in anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism, anti-Christian bigotry, anti-capitalism and a general disdain for Western Civilization? Why is it that so many American Jews are truly more paranoid about scary, gun-toting Christians who they actually fear will force them to convert their religion combined with a knee-jerk tradition of supporting the same liberals who have now taken up with their greatest true threat, genocidal Islamic imperialism?
IMHO, it's due to a long-standing tradition of allegiance to an ideology that tells them they morally and intellectually superior to those "others", a combination of intellectual laziness and the self-delusion of enlightenment, entitlement, and elitism.
Because they are neo-Bolsheviks wirh Jewish surnames.
I would love to have a conversation with Jackie Mason, I love him. We saw him at a comedy club here in Houston several years ago. The Jewish community really came out to see him, I think we were the only gentiles in the place.

Your information is known to me in general, but thank you for the extent of the detail.
It makes me wonder: recent studies have shown that a there is a genetic component for a person’s tendency towards liberal thinking. Might it be that this unseen force explains some of this otherwise inexplicable thinking and behavior in this group (and others)? Other explanations don’t do the job for me.
Of course, for a trait like this to be bred into a people, it would have to offer some survival advantage, and I don’t see much of one historically for these people.
Jews do hate Christians - perhaps with good reason - but they hate them. The terms “goyim” and “shiksa” are not terms of endearment.
good points, but let me also add that the 20th century immigration was quite selective. The Rabbeim were against going to the golden medina and hence those who didn’t care came.
Hence we have a community that quickly stopped being Jewish in practice, ignored the Shoah ( FDR was more important) , but still had anti-xtian xenophobia.
Just imagine if the Pope had opposed immigration to America and the only Irish who came were the Sinead Oconner’s , or the only Italians were tje Sacco and Venzettis?
Fortunately the future of American jewry is the survivors and refugees from the 20s-50s who are the heart and soul of Torah Judaism today ( and the core of Rep voters)
Jews are taught from the cradle that Republicans are right-wing AND that the right-wing is one step away from morphing into Naziism.
Most Jews believe this to their core...to the point that they will vote in droves for a confirmed disciple of the Jew-hating “Reverand” Wright.
