If I can’t convince someone who is suspicious of me that I’m not a troll, because they don’t like my conservative writings supporting Sarah, then that is their choice.

I don’t know if Perry is a RINO, but I sure don’t like his supporters on here. And I’m sure it’s mutual back at me, especially if it turns out that he is a RINO.

But what it really comes down is that you don’t like the fact that my vote can’t be bought by a RINO politician.

And like other angry conservatives out there that don’t respect RINO supporters, I’m not going to get in the mud with you and snort about how good it is to compromise or too be a moderate to appease independent-minded voters.

Remember, America is bankrupt for a reason, and that is because some people can’t handle the push when it comes to shove. They roll over and find themselves looking up from a position of weakness.

So maybe laying around in the mud isn’t such a good thing after all, huh?

You Betcha!

Now it’s none of your business. I’ve said enough to prove the veracity of my comments.

Trying to ascertain my true identity is not something I’m going to help you with.

When it comes to trying to protect the safety of my family from internet predators, I would rather have a degree of anonymity on here.

Seems you are getting wrapped around the axle...this does not happen with huh...”special operations” types.

You did say you retain knowledge of special operations secrets..

In 1995 I was in Ha Noi..working at Det2...when you were deployed to haiti...were you issued mosquito repellent?

Oh...we are not internet predators...the worse that could happen to you is the zot.

Did I pass the smell test, yet?

Here’s a question for you, what is out in the woods on the ground at Camp Rowe?

If you are SF, you should know this, otherwise you might be the one faking bad.

You should ask wardaddy what he knows of secession. Ask him if the South was right.

I guess you would take up arms..to prevent secession..invade the South...burn the towns..pillage.

I am a law-abiding citizen. That’s nonsense and disrespectful to reference the horror of mass murders and carnage during the Civil War.

I figured you Secession types out.

Because you are so damn angry at the ObamaNation, you have romanticized the idea of secession as a way to lash out at your perceived powerlessness.

Just like I romanticize Sarah riding into Washington with both pistols blazing to clean up the corruption and malfeasance of politicians there.

Both of us angry. Two different ways of looking at stopping the ObamaNation.

My criticism of secession is based on the idea that it would do more harm than good to America.

Just like your criticism that Sarah is unelectable and that voting for her somehow would be a wasted vote.

I would counter that any short-term gain you acquire by an ‘electable’ RINO that defeats Obama is offset by the problem that you just elected part of the problem.

These politicians very wisely use the strategy of psychological manipulation to sway public opinion through the use of ‘fear and doom’ tactics if they don’t get their way. Obama and the GOP are doing that right now.

So, my advocacy of Sarah is to send in an outsider who will clean house like she did in Alaska with the corrupt RINO GOP politicians.

I’m a fan of Jericho.

If you watched both seasons, you will realize why I don’t like the talk of secession.

I didn’t have to screw around with food during my mess cranking. I had to clean officers staterooms instead. It was an experience. I got to spend quality time with almost every officer on the ship. Almost every confiscated porno mag somehow ended up in their staterooms. There was also one empty stateroom and since I had a master key I spent almost my whole 90 days living in it. I woulda been toast had I gotten caught.

Our setup in the mess was the same as yours. I miss the omelettes, they were pretty good.

My single worst memory of the Iowa was the day of the ship-wide urinalysis. They had 2 urinals for 1500 guys and two lines for everyone to stand in, and when you finally made it to the golden urinal, and if you couldn’t go, you had to go back to the end of the line. By the time it was my turn, I thought I was gonna DIE, I had to go so bad. I was pouring sweat and it was a miracle I didn’t have an accident. I still have nightmares....

My first vote was for the most Honorable Mr. Reagan. What a great man he was. :)

General Bee, who was mortally wounded at First Manassas shortly after he gave Stonewall Jackson his nickname, was the son of Barnard E. Bee, Sr., a Republic of Texas statesman who opposed Texas joining the US--and returned to the US to live after Texas became part of the Union. Bee Co., Texas, is named for the elder Bee.

The 10th amendment implies the right of secession (not that I'm recommending that it be tried again).

LOL!

Ever have a steel deck picnic? We had one while in the Indian Ocean during our West-Pac. The nice thing about having lots of guys on the ship, there were enough musicians to be found to form a band and play a rock concert on top of the 16 inch gun turret. We each had 2 cans of ice cold beer, also...ahhh!

I oftentimes wondered what it would have been like to have the mobile technologies the sailors have nowadays to access their loved ones back home. I always looked forward to mail call and getting the perfumed letter from my girlfriend.

I always felt safe and secure on my battleship, damn near indestructible. Going into the Citadel was something else, too. SOLID STEEL COFFIN. Witnessing a broadside was something else. We had steel doors warped from all the shooting over the lifetime of the New Jersey.

The one thing I don’t miss is the cramped berthing, sleeping 3 high, although I didn’t have a roof because I was on the top bunk. Just pipes above my head. When I was in the Army, I had to do a Joint Task Force training mission on a Navy gator-freighter. My berthing was with the Marines. There they slept 4 high. First time I ever got sea sick. Though going through a typhoon on the battleship in the Pacific while we were 1000 miles away from land made me step on the wall as the ship rocked.

Finally, LIBERTY! The freedom to cash your paper checks and go ashore and drink yourself silly!

I’m still mad that the Rear Admiral on my ship refused to go south of the Equator so we could earn our Shellback status. He didn’t want to get his butt whacked crawling on all fours. I was so disappointed! So I’m stuck being a Pollywog! :)

What’s wrong with secession? It would potentially be a heck of a lot more peaceful than some of the other alternatives I’ve seen people arguing for. I mean, some people actually think that we are —><— this close to “blood in the streets” or other such madness.

Wouldn’t a peaceful parting of the ways be more humane?

I’ll take non-violent protest over violence anyday.

Heck, the ObamaNation does it, and then capitalizes on it in with PR in the media.

The only way I see secession happening is something tragic like a ‘Jericho’ scenario where regions or states deliberately go the distance to drastically change America.

Like I said earlier, the show Jericho seems to be pretty spot-on in how we all would treat each other and how we would act if America broke apart.

Watch the Trailer for an insight:

All the episodes are available on Netflix, also.

“My 7th grade Texas history class was a long time ago but I seem to remember that when Texas joined the union it retained the right to leave. We were an independent nation at the time. “

I am not from Texas, but that is what I was taught in my history class as well. Texas alone specifically retained that right as a condition of statehood.

However, there is no statement in the Constitution prohibiting secession so theoretically any of those states could leave that want to.

I do not advocate that the USA split up, but Washington DC backed by lefties in the blue states seem hell bent on forcing the majority of Americans to live according to their elitist ideas of utopia, and they are severely infringing on personal freedom.

Well, Americans in general, and Texans in particular just aren't going to take that crap! Way I see it, either the states stand-up for the 10th amendment so people can live in a state that fits their ideals, or we are on our way to disintegration, totalitarianism, or civil war.

I think you meant to say... sounds like the new user that calls himself RINOs suck, you basically nailed him with your description.

Not to mention that you are quite a piece of work yourself, going on every Palin thread and bashing Gov Palin!

I don't think the Constitution says anything about secession. Secession can be about a continuation of politics by other means frequently.

Unless the party leaving is overwhelmingly strong or the remaining party is glad to see them go then secession will always likely be handled by violence.

Today folks are so soft they might actually try to talk it through....

I mean would we really care if San Francisco left?

It's complicated...no easy answers...given the style of this poster my retread Geiger counter is buzzing
