NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A lesbian couple is asking for changes at Dollywood after an employee asked one of the women to turn her T-shirt reading "marriage is so gay" inside-out to avoid offending others on a recent visit to the Tennessee theme park complex.

Olivier Odom and Jennifer Tipton said Tuesday they want the park to be more inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender families after Odom was asked to reverse her shirt when they visited Dollywood Splash Country next to the Pigeon Forge amusement park.

Ah, Dolly Parton. My two favorite entertainers.

And if the shirts were the opposite...promoting heterosexual marriage, there would be protested by the gay community.
Minorities rules.

I love how they’re “families” now. What the hell is, or could be, a “transgender family” or a “bisexual family”. How many “parents” would that involve, and how do the kids fit in?

Never mind, I don’t even want to know.

Private property means the owners can kick you out if they see you wearing something they don’t like. But I guess that concept is quite lost on them.

Imagine the outcry from progressives if someone wore a shirt that said “Marriage is between a man and a women” to school.

Why even acknowledge the shirt? People wear stupid shirts all the time. This foolishness just gives the queers more publicity.

It was an inappropriate shirt - shouldn’t have been wearing it there in front of families and children. Expecting common decency out of patrons has nothing to do with being “inclusive.” They act as though if a non-homosexual had been wearing it that the staff would have been fine with them walking around like that. Absurd. Dollywood should tell them they can take their business elsewhere if they don’t like it.

Two things in life that make it worth living
“Dolly Parton”
Ain’t it time we got back to the basics in life?

I’d hope everyone’s marriage IS “gay”, otherwise everyone would be getting a divorce.

That’s “life without parole and wear a paper bag over your head when you leave your cell” guilty!

More inclusive?

They didn’t tell her to leave. They told her to be more respectful to others.

Tolerance is a one way deal for the Left.

She has the right to offend others but if you offend her, then its lawsuit time!

the latest stats show the numbers of identifying homosexuals has dropped markedly from a high during the 70’s. Since the numbers have dropped significantly, as modern teenagers trend more towards hetero lifestyles, why is the push to make accommodations for dysfunctional lifestyles so rabid? What power structure is involved behind the scenes?

You know, long ago I used to not think much about gays.
My philosophy was ‘as long as they dont bother me..’
But they just can’t leave well enough alone.
They have to flaunt it- get in your face.
Now they make me want to puke.

Children should not be exposed to dysfunctional people such as transgenders and crossdressers. I consider them mentally unstable and I don’t want my children forced to be around them just because they want to feel ‘normal’. they aren’t normal.
