Skip to comments.McCain vs. the Tea Party

Mr. McCain mocked Tea Party-allied Republicans in the House for believing wrongly, he said that President Obama and Democrats will get the blame for a default if Republicans refuse to increase the nations debt ceiling. By that flawed logic, Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced budget amendment and reform entitlements and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth, he said, quoting a Wall Street Journal editorial. This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine ODonnell into G.O.P. nominees, he jeered, referring to two losing Tea Party candidates for the Senate in 2010.

If the Tea Party were to form the GOP would be the third party!
If there is I'd say McCain surpassed that point long ago.
I recall meeting McCain in AZ and while he was here in Texas. He was an absolute p$ick. He would not listen to anyone else. Once he decided things were a certain way he just spat at anyone else who did not agree with him. After being around him a bit I knew he would never get elected. He is a douche.
McCain ought to buy a pallet of viagra, go home and "hit" his lady until he keels over. She is pretty hot. My impression of her when I was around them was that she puts up with him. I did not see much affection.
My only conclusion is that his brains as well as his body were ruthlessly beaten. The other alternative? This man is just plain certifiably crazy or he has succumbed to the lure of wealth and power and ITB approval.....either way he just needs to fade away and shut up.
McLame has and continues to be an ass.
Not for me, but it's time to get McRat the Ranting Rino out of my party. Neither Angle nor O'Donnell was the worst Republican nominee in recent elections. That honor belongs to the McRat. He turns my stomach.
I just called his office in Washington and told him that a Tea Party Hobbit was calling and wanted him to know I voted for Palin and not him. Good Day
We've been trying to "clean" the GOP since 1964, but RINOs are like cockroaches. They keep coming up through the cracks.
The GOP is the "new" Whig party. And we know what happened to them.
I would have to say (on the call): John, did Reid tell you to wave that white flag?
A slash and burn policy? Nothing will be recognizable when the dust settles.
Popcorn eating doesn't get much better than this.
No 3rd Party will be immune to human nature, human pride, and human stupidity.
Control the Republican Party, this is the only plan that will work!
John McCain is too clueless it is the USA vs DC and this time he is on the side of the enemy.
(Third Party) Best plan for four more of zer0. No doubt here.
My God! He really doesn't know what he looks like to the sane, intelligent part of the country, does he?
Yes it is Tea Party time!
McCain is a huge part of why we are in this debt problem. AZ....HE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED!!!
I also still believe that whoever decides to run for President should have to resign their seat in either the House or Senate! They take all that time to run. Don’t do their job but then they still have their other cushy job when they don’t win!
Oh McCain.....You've done it again!!!
I truly don’t believe there is time to purge through elections. I don’t think this country will survive.
The one thing that gets me through the day is that all of this MUST be God’s will.
JUAN: "We don't fix the problem, we fix the BLAME! (***cough*** Palin's fault ****cough****)
3rd Party Time?
Not this cycle. Time to put down some survey stakes though. Depending on the results in 2012, be ready to move in 2013 or reinforce success if there is any.
Nobody seems to correlate the rising debt ceiling with declining jobs.
The rising debt ceiling has two consequences....
more regulation ...
to occupy employees in expanding federal bureaucracies...which expand because they have more money and another layer of bureaucrats need their 20 year promotions... Each round of regulatory expansion is the effective equivalent of another targeted tax increase on the object of the regulation.
The rising debt ceiling has demands and expectations of creditors for new elements of revenue raising by the Feds...taxes or fees.
In this strangling environment job creation is simply NOT possible.
In fact the only logical conclusion..can be ..is that the Federal apparatus -initially an asset to the United States..by virtue of its abilities to raise an effective Navy in the late 1700s, and early 1800s to facilitate overseas trade on behalf of the States, has become nothing other than the States greatest liability at this point in time. In the absence of profound regulatory and taxation reform-which is not capable of coming from the same minds that created the problem..we may well be at the end of the line.
“McCain is correct. The media will certainly see to it that Democrats wont get any blame.”
And he never helps things with his mouth either...
He just wants to be the media’s little darling.
Last time I checked, the hobbits saved Middle Earth.
“There is only one Lord of the Ring! Only one who can bend it to his will. And he. does. not. share. power!”
3rd party's don't work in our winner take all system. You'd just split the right of center vote and guarantee Democrats win everything - even in bright red states.
The Republican party will get more conservative each election cycle if movement conservatives and the Tea Party activists stay involved and VOTE in every primary.
I could not in conscience vote for McCain. His statements on the campaign trail promised us a slower version of the Obamanist death. As terrible as this Administration is, its faster pace towards Hell has woken up a lot of Americans. In this wakeup, we have a hope to turn the tide. McCain needs to realize that those who reject his temporizing with self-destruction, are not going away. Nor will we be intimidated by his calumny.
I am not a member of any tea party--although I have spoken at a couple of small tea party rallies. But they deserve our praise, even as McCain deserves our condemnation.
For one of many examples of how I think Obama should have been handled, when McCain had the chance:
I can't argue with you...we haven't been very obedient children for quite a while, and it appears He is putting the belt to our hindquarters.
If it wasn’t for the Tea Party (voting for Palin) his stupid old ass would have crashed earlier than it did.

Palin needs to kick JUAN firmly and irreversibly to the curb.
“Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth”
I guess he never read LOTR, or else he thoroughly misread it.
There are 2 people who could BLAST McPain a good one. They are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremiah_Denton AND http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Johnson They BOTH need to have a “little” talk w/ Juan.
What were the people of Arizona thinking when they reelected this fool? He was a lousy senator, a lousy presidential candidate and now he is a lousy senator again.
In the short term the media will blame the Republicans but history will lay this in the lap of the Obama presidency -- and Obama knows it.
Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth, he said
When the hobbits returned to the Shire, they found out that some thugs patterned after classic communists had taken over. They at first had promised “sharing”, but the thugs just took what people produced for their own use.
And the hobbits, fresh back from some battle hardening, took to kickin’ some thugasses out of the Shire.
Yes, Johnny, good analogy.
“Fight like a girl” John!
Has McCain apologized to mr obama yet for this debt issue?
Too early in the day for me to be this pissed off!
I WANT to believe that Sarah Palin can do for the national GOP what she did for the Alaska GOP. If so, I'll gladly admit that I'm wrong in believing that, at present, our dream of a coup d'etat within the GOP is a pipedream.
Yes, she does...and NEVER endorse this old coot, again!
The House needs to re-vote on CCB and go home. Shut down the House, turn out the lights reminiscent of Nancy Pelosi and go home.
“Too early in the day for me to be this pissed off!”
So, about what time do you usually get this pissed off?
Life gets much simpler for a conservative when he at last realizes he owes the GOP nothing.
Mocked or blasted? Make up your minds, NY Times. If you have any.
I'm still not convinced the bastard was elected by legal votes.
The correct response to McCain is the same response Boehner should be giving to Obama and Reid. If you don’t like my plan, put your own plan before the people with specifics.
Is that what your slutty little daughter told you to say Juan?
