He has accountants pay for it all.
>>I dispute that he owes the child support that shes claiming or anywhere near that amount, Polachek said. Joe Walsh hasnt been a big-time wage-earner politician until recently hes had no more problems with child support than any other average guy.
It isn’t the facts of the allegation, merely the magnitude of the assertion.
Love that song, never really thought how true it is of political types.
The Chicago Way strikes again!
He should sue her for custody of his children. That way he will know they will received his support.
Someone please queue the GIF of the stick-figure guy banging his head against the wall.
I hope this claim is bogus, and Rep. Walsh doesn't have a flock of waaaa waaas heading his way.
Walsh should demand DNA tests because, “Everybody knows what a skank and a pig Laura is. It’s probably a bunch of pool boys, mailmen, and UPS drivers who owe her the money.”
I think that just the fact that some lib named Abdon Pallasch nailed him is embarrassing enough.
I don't know the facts of the issue, but Joe Walsh maybe should have gotten his own fiscal house in order before becoming so outspoken on the debt issue.
Ya? So what? He’s got personal problems. What’s that got to do with the vision of the Founders?
He would have been in jail by for that amount.
I have read some horrific charges in child support and divorce papers. The wording is such as to get a response out of the other party. The vast majority of claims are proven false in a hearing.
Basically, you can say anything in a civil document accusing the other party and don’t have to defend it until it goes to a hearing or trial.
Bascially, I wouldn’t give this claim by the ex a moments thought until after the hearing/trial.
That says it all. I want the facts before forming an opinion especially given the source of the story. Walsh has raised his profile attacking Obama. The Chicago press is trying to destroy him. They do that to plenty of Reps. Look at what allegations were made against Palin or the nuisance law suits filed against her. The Dems are the party that practices the politics of personal destruction.
Nothing like an ex spouse that feels slighted or has possibly been offered something from the other side. But this is ridiculous. I saw a judge put a guy in jail because he didn’t come up with the money and he had it. He said he had cancer which may have been true or not; but he had the money and he didn’t pay; so he was going to jail.
I guess he will have to sell his Maserati to pay for it all.
That was just the date this suit was filed the support is for a number of years.
Nothing like going public with this stuff to insure Rep. Walsh's political career will suffer, perhaps fatally. Talk about killing the golden goose.....
The medical benefits he receives as a congressman are certainly of great value to the young children for years to come. What can this stupid woman be thinking of?
Congratulation to him for dumping her (if he's the dumper, not the dumpee, LOL.)
“What can this stupid woman be thinking of?”
Herself, he’s doing well now and she wants some.
The depression, default and decline from political correctness, feminism and romanticism proceeds. Enjoy the slide.
Charlie Rangel can hide his purchase of property in the Caribbean for years.
Nancy Pelosi can steal Treasure Island from San Francisco and give it to her family's construction company to develop over the next decade.
But if an "Average Joe" should make it into Congress today, the "wealthiest 1%" of Congress will see to it that he's ousted at the soonest opportunity.
From the article...
“In addition to the foreclosure on his condominium, Walsh was haunted during his campaign by disclosures of liens on his property from unpaid bills and staffers abandoning his campaign, saying he wasnt paying them.
Keith Liscio, who said Walsh hired him to be campaign manager Walsh disputes that has sued Walsh for $20,000 in salary he said Walsh owes him. Both sides are trying to settle that case.
Staffers learned during the campaign that Walsh was driving on a suspended license. His license was suspended twice in 2008 for his failure to appear in court, and he was cited in 2009 for driving on a suspended license, according to the Illinois Secretary of State.”
Nice to see the He-Man Woman Haters Club is out in full force, but this guy is a loser...
His official bio says: “He and his wife Helene together have five children.” but apparently he also has an ex-wife named Laura.
December. Imagine that. His Ex filed a month after his winning the election and a month before he took office.
...from the musical Joe Walsh....”life’s been good so far.”
(Something like that.)
Oh, the awesome memories and flashbacks!
This whole mess makes no sense.
It says his ex-wife only filed for divorce in December [2010?] and he owed $117,000 in child support THEN, according to papers she filed with the divorce????
Bio says he has another wife and they have FIVE children.
If he only got divorced from Laura around February, how did he and wife #2 manage to have five children?
I’ve thoroughly confused myself, so I’ll quit now.
She’s been trying to get money out of him for nine years...
It doesn’t actually say that they were divorced in 2010. She just filed this particular petition asking for back child support in 2010.
When a bio says that John Doe and his wife have five children “together” or “between them,” it usually means that they have five children from their previous marriages, relationships, etc..
Doesn’t really matter. He got the remap shaft and is probably gonna end up running against another Republican (Hultgren).
Club for Growth is backing him but it’s mostly Hultgren’s district.
Former State Senator versus this guy (solid conservative but iffy personal history), I can’t see Hultgren losing.
Joe is a good man, and obviously ruffling some feathers here in Chicagoland.
Welcome to the meatgrinder Joe.
I’m sure that his ex was approached by a good dem lawyer.
Here in Chicago, it is not the outcome of the case that matters when it comes to R’s, it is the allegations.
This will run front page in both of our papers for a few weeks, you can bet on it.
I long ago added Illinois to the states that will be asked to leave the republic in order to save it. It joins the lovely states of Massachusettes, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Maryland and New Jersey. I’d add California but they left on their own.
The Obama media group is determined to silence conservatives.
This is just one their many schemes to destroy the Tea Party groups.
The Chicago Sun-Times splashed this on their front page today:
TEA PARTY REP. SUED FOR $100,000 IN CHILD SUPPORT.
The Chicago Tribune a leftist rag was out to destroy another Republican and were successful even though the ex spouse recanted and in fact supported the candidate.
Ryan file a bombshell
Ex-wife alleges GOP candidate took her to sex clubs
By John Chase and Liam Ford Tribune staff reporters
June 22, 2004
“Republican U.S. Senate nominee Jack Ryan’s ex-wife, TV actress Jeri Ryan, accused him of taking her to sex clubs in New York and Paris, where he tried to coerce her into having sex with him in front of strangers, according to records released Monday from the couple’s California divorce file.
Jack Ryan denied the allegations when they were made in 2000, when the couple was engaged in a bitter child custody battle a year after their divorce.”

Spouse Jeri Ryan (19911999) (divorced)
Jack Ryan (born October 6, 1959) is a Republican from the state of Illinois who was forced to withdraw from the 2004 United States Senate race due to an alleged sex scandal involving his relationship with his ex-wife, actress Jeri Ryan. His eventual replacement, Alan Keyes, would go on to lose the general election to State Senator and future President of the United States, Barack Obama.

“Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh sued for $100,000 in child support” and?
THIS is supposed to mean he can’t get in the ring and take on the fraud in the straw hat? I DON’T THINK SO!
Hang in Joe, keep fighting.
Don't pull that trigger yet. I read this *thing* too...
How is this news surprising? We knew that Walsh was a deadbeat since the campaign (he had his condo foreclosed, tax liens on other properties for non-payment, and didn’t pay his campaign staffers their salary), and he almost lost in a heavily GOP district despite the huge GOP wave. And, as you said, he got shafted in redistricting and was going to be a one-termer anyways. Maybe he can get a cable TV show after his one term in Congress, but aside from that possibility he’ll never again make enough money to pay off his 9-year child-support debt, so his ex-wife is smart to sue now instead of waiting until he loses reelection and has already pissed away all the money he made.
This should be a cautionary tale for us: just because someone is eloquent and says all the right things does not mean that he or she is a good candidate. (I was going to say that Walsh is a male version of Christine O’Donnell, but I just remembered that in the DE GOP Senate primary threads I had described O’Donnell as a female version of Walsh.)
Does anyone find the timing of this a little suspect? How about the fact this originated in Chicago?
I was trying to think of this one. I have never liked that Jeri Ryan since then. She sold out.
I think that Rep. Walsh will win the primary. Republican primaries are usually won by the most conservative candidate, and Walsh is more conservative than Hultgren.
“It doesnt actually say that they were divorced in 2010. She just filed this particular petition asking for back child support in 2010.”
Consequences to her for filing a false document with the court, lying about it under oath, and other similar things? Nothing. Nada. Zip. Women lie about this kind of thing all the time. Don't believe a word about this until it's been adjudicated.
None of this mattered to the dumb-assed court. She got custody and child support. The court told him he was lucky because he didn't get hit with alimony as well. He ruined himself financially trying to save his daughter. I've hated these kangaroo courts ever since.
