One of Mrs S’s partners had her hubby drop her off at the firm just so she could get a ride home :-O I have to admit, every time I drive it it’s an event. ANd she gets to every day the lucky duck.

And a love pat to Ike for me......I had a lab for 16 years...he was “saved” in the old days (the 50’s) when it was “take the dog, or the local cops have to shoot them”...no “euthanasia” for pound puppies in those days...So..the cop that would have had to do the deed...brought the pup to my dad...said “Bill, I simply cant do this..help me” and my dad brought “Soupbone” (Fantastic DOG name, I hasten to add) into our home :-)

When we went to the pound, it was so sad, do many dogs were already “institutionalized”. Ike was emaciated but bright and friendly but just not what I had in mind. He’s half dane and half lab so he isn’t exactly tiny.
Then I read that black dogs have a 70% higher chance of being Euthanized and that was it.
He is just the sweetest thing and such a comfort to me.

Where does the CCB bill sit...just quietly in the Senate? Are Reps counting on Boehner bill failing so that they can force Senate to vote on CCB early tomorrow, rather than at the dead of tonight or even worse, the dead of the Friday night dumb?
