“Don’t jump to conclusions”

Not me! I recognized the good guys.

... and I’ve developedg an appreciation of classical Kabuki as performed by the Senate. Though not for the results.

-- The government does not care what the citizens think. They are there to serve themselves and help themselves. --

Yes. And the people can adopt the same attitude toward the government.

I think the country will be fine, when the federal government collapses of its own weight and corruption.

the House will vote on Reid’s plan Saturday to show that it is “not capable of passing.

Now there's a tactic I did not think was possible. This will put the ball back into the Senate court faster than they can pass their own bill.

So it was the right flank, not the left flank. Interesting.

Reid just said they reject Boehners short term plan. That must be the issue. Re-election 2012. No short term option will be allowed to interfere with Obama's campaign.

Where’s Treasury Secretary Geithner? Senate Democrats have just ruined the 2nd chance to pass a bill.

I think after all this, the veteran House Republicans will have no choice but to become Tea Party just to survive.

I think they know it. This is why Laura Ingram et. al are raising such a rucus - running cover for the Blue Bloods. Won't work. Americans have had enough and the TEA Party was just getting warmed up in November 2010 - wait till they see what our home run looks like!

Now it's on!

Hang tight, Senator DeMint!!!!

Would this be considered a spending bill? If it is, they are supposed to originate in the House. I know DC ignores the Constitution most of the time...

Chuckie Schumer talking in hushed tones like he’s in Church about “compromise.” Don’t remember this kind of talk when the Dems were ramming Obamacare thru Congress.....

What are you talking about??? They want to force reconsideration of the original bill. McConnell has told reid in no uncetain terms he will not negotiate with him. Do you even understand what is going on here? This is a war.

Getting beyond the 2012 election has ALWAYS been the Dems top priority with this.

I'm glad you realized it. I wish more would.

...The vote was 59-41.
The party split is 53-47.
Sniff, sniff. I smell RINOs. I want names...

They’re voting no because THEY WANT HE FIRST BILL: CCB.

I like this as strategy: CCB gets more votes in both houses than Boehner 2 (even though they both end up tabled).

That vote is on a motion to instruct the sergeant at arms to fetch absent senators.

>> “I stuck my neck out a mile to get an agreement with the president of the United States,” Boehner thundered from the floor after the vote

Bullshit! The Tea Party members you castigated are the heroes here, not you, Boehner!

And the few frauds that changed their Yea votes can go suck eggs.
