Sounds like DU around here sometimes.

If you don’t have anything nice to say, why join the thread?

Who do you support?

Or should I have responded that way to the poster you were responding to?

:D

It really baffles me how quick we start the circular firing squads against our own candidates.

Who do you support? Whiners?

Don't ask me, I'm not the one going around telling posters what to do/not to do/what to ask or not - that's your area. Talk about a firing squad!

"Really, what does sold out mean to do and the need for another screening to provide for the overflow?"

52 per screen average attendance. This means 1/5 to 1/4 capacity. Somebody somewhere had a sell out on opening day. Good for that theater! Nationally though in it's opening week "The Undefeated" was defeated at the box office by such heavily advertised movies as, "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan", "Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest" and "Turtle: The Incredible Journey".

Their advertising dollars were pennies. It wasn't meant to compete with any movie but to inform those who the media deliberately deceived. Like this Somebody somewhere had a sell out on opening day.

You didn't answer. What did you think of the documentary?

I didn’t see it. It didn’t play in my town.

Now before you go off with a variation on, “Ohhhhhhh you’re judging it and you haven’t even seen it” you might double check and see that I made no judgment of the film itself. My comments were restricted to it’s box office performance. You don’t need to see a movie to read it’s financial data.

It hasn't played in my town either.

You don’t need to see a movie to read it’s financial data.

On a documentary that had virtually no advertising? That's how you judge success? This film was not about making money - something you seem to refuse to get.

I read/listen to those who did see it - it is a success!! It accomplished what it set out to do. So far on this thread, even you have done that!!

I will defer to you since I don’t have a clue what I am talking about and you seem to throw the right kind of words in the mix. {:-)

From atlasshrugs:

Does it strike anyone else that this next presidential election feels less like an election
and more like two opposing countries fighting for victory?

Obama's idea of America is positively un-american (collectivist, socialist, transnational).
The Republican mavericks (no, not the RINOs) are channeling our founding fathers,
fighting for individual rights, less government, and our unalienable rights endowed by our Creator.

The battle is for America, exceptional, sovereign and free, vs. America, unexceptional, transnational, statist.

This isn't so much an election but a fight for America. The Individual vs the State -- it's a non-violent civil war.
