EDITORIAL: America abandons Obama
The Washington Times ^ | July 29, 2011 | Editorial Board

So much for hope and change. With the economy growing worse and worse, the grand promises of Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign have faded as the reality of malaise takes hold.

Mr. Obama has vowed to spend $1 billion in advertising dollars to counteract the effect his policies have had on the nation. The GOP’s campaign chief met with The Washington Times on Friday to discuss why that’s not going to work. “I think this [election] is a referendum on Barack Obama,” said Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus. “The people in this country are going to ask themselves a question: ‘Am I better off than I was three or four years ago?’ And the answer is clearly no.”

Even liberals feel betrayed on a number of pet causes like torture and Guantanamo Bay, and they’re jumping ship. The Pew Research Center found Republicans were making huge gains among white voters. In 2008, 46 percent of this demographic group sided with the GOP while 44 percent preferred Democrats. Today, the Republican advantage has grown to 13 points, with the biggest gains found among those under the age of 30.

In other words, the young voters who once identified with the youthful, relatively unknown senator from Illinois are having a severe case of buyer’s remorse. The survey showed Republicans also made a small 2 percent gain among black voters, but larger inroads ought to be possible given the astonishing figure that 16.2 percent of blacks can’t find a job in Mr. Obama’s economy - double the figure for whites. “People are hurting,” said Mr. Priebus. “The problem that Obama has is that he has had results of his presidency, and these results are awful and people know it.”

The only solid support Obama has left comes from the Blacks, who support him primarily because he shares a melanin-enriched skin tone. Blacks voting for a Black because he’s Black. But “conservatives are racists.”

He’s a mouthpiece, front man, for whoever is relaying the game plan on the other end of his blackberry when he’s out on the golf course.

I agree that operationally he has been effective in destroying the country. I think we wants to turn America into a socialist utopia, sort of the kind of country a lot of American leftist imagine Sweden was in 1970. I do not think we means to harm the country, it’s just that he is in thrall to a bunch of half-baked and outdated collectivists notions.

"His headache is always those real American’s, Republicans and Democrats, who do actually care about this country, who do care more about America than proving some pie-in-the-sky theory and ‘making a point’. We drive him crazy.

I haven't seen one wit of evidence of a single elected Democrat that cares about this country. Well, maybe the 5 vulnerable congressmen allowed to vote for CCB.

” -—Mr. Obama has vowed to spend $1 billion in advertising dollars-—

A better descriptive would be laundered stimulus Dollars

The money is being kicked back from the recipients”

You seem to be on of a very few who get this.

ah yes another “grand experiment” gone bad..Time to Wake Up America. Real Leaders need to have proven experience and track records...community organizers can only do one thing and that is organize the paybacks with taxpayer grease. We are out of grease and patience.

America is quickly and quietly marching toward Cloward and Pevin....a complete downfall of the government and country. Obama is the pusher. Behind him marches the socialists who run the Democrat Party and the MSM (Main Stream Media). Finally, Americans everywhere are seeing this happen. To date the market has remained currently stable. It goes up a little, down a little and flatlines quite a lot, but it is the real only stability so far, out there. The constant threats from liberals and the current resident of the White House could unhindge the whole mess, but to date that has not happened. Obama holds the keys of power and messing with the market may be his last try in his redistribution plan. So far, he has managed to almost totally destroy the financial security of America.

Similiar to the buyer's remorse of all the folks who "deserved" to own a home but couldn't afford one...Believng a liberal will always cause remorse in the end.
