The worm has turned. Perhaps even Bo the water dog will vote Republican. With the debt negotiations, the Republicans screwed the country but they got what they wanted, a lame duck Obama.

A week or so ago there were rumors that the Capitol Hill leadership [both parties] were disgusted and frustrated about trying to negotiate with Obama, so they met in secret — sans Obama — to hash out a budget ceiling deal.

They know they can’t win if unemployment is still well over 8%, the recession is continuing, etc. Their only ‘blessing’ at present is that inflation/interest rates have stayed low and off the radar.

After seeing this thread, I am even more convinced that the Dems are trying to find a way to unseat Obama but retain the White House.

Yet, they, DEMS and LSM, all followed him and told the lemmings to follow him. And worst of all, lots of republican stayed home on election day because McCain was not conservative enough.
At risk of repeating myself, I’d rather have a republican-lite or a RINO in office over any democRAT.
The pictures I've seen of BO & Bo going for a walk .... Bo is always in the lead.

Obama’s transparency has been obvious from the beginning to anyone who wished to look.
Whether or not one agreed with liberalism, the fact that this fellow was vapid, and not a quick thinker - or even just a thinker at all - was there for all to see.
Perhaps it now appears obvious, but a man who names his dog after himself has serious issues with narcissism.

For some reason, the “invisilble” leadership comments brought to mind John Kerry. If he had been elected, we’d have gone through this years earlier. And who would have been the man behind him pulling the strings. The same one that’s pulling Obama’s strings?

Mika was not happy with Joe sharing that. She is one of those who will ride the Obama ship to the bottom of the ocean.
I deem it “following from the front”: looks like he’s in charge, but keeps looking back for direction from those behind him.
I think there are a lot of games going on.
One game is that the short term deal ($1T now, $1.5T when it runs out) is advantageous to those worried about primary challengers, Republican and Democrat. I think Obama overplayed his hand when he demanded $1.2T in taxes which would have weakened Republican incumbents but not Democrat incumbents. The compromise let’s them both get past their primaries before voting again.
If the national security council was aware of fast and furious, there won’t be a democrat left who could hold the white house.
Obama is a very visible FAILURE.

It seems much more possible that they have saved the country. Better the debt ceiling not be raised than the insane spending bills that have been put forward.
I think Democratic voters want to protect SS and Medicare. I think Democratic politicians want to keep their favorite toy, non-defense discretionary spending.

Democrats want to keep all the spending they can, not so much because they care about the individual programs or people but because they need a constant pot of money to skim off the top.

The only reason inflation rates have stayed “low” is because they no longer include energy or food. Go to a grocery store and tell me we have no food inflation. Hamburger now sells for more a pound that New York strip steaks did 3 years ago.

His grades s*cked, but he got pushed onto Columbia then Harvard...then CHOSEN to be the first black Pres. of the LR. Where were his grades? His papers? His LSAT #’s? They were all sub-par—and he was led through by handlers.
Same in the senate, State and U.S...and the election. The only thing he did well was read those trite speeches. He was NOT good at debate. Can you imagine him in a real debate with Rubio, Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, etc? He really didn't even do much better than McCain...people were just “in love”.
