Someday, there may be big rock memorials all over North America commmemorating the patriots who died defeating the socialist government and restoring the Constitution.

Besides, I’d rather see a big rock than one of these over-planned memorials packed full of politically-correct symbolism that is meaningless if you don’t have the guidebook in your hand. Only the US government can screw up a memorial.

A nice memorial would be the farms that were there. And the spontaneous memorials on the side of the road.

But, we live in a statist hellhole. So, we must have a concrete monument to the Homeland!

The terrorists won. Spectacularly.

I think they want us out of the Middle East and to stop giving Israel so much help. So even though they've caused us to be an ickier country to live in, I don't think they would agree that they've won yet.

What I was thinking, too.

Seems kind of Muslimish. Will there be a call to prayer five times daily.

“Not that there is anything wrong with that.”
(Close, think that the way it goes.) Bit by bit, step by step, they are wanting the Great Satan to be theirs.

Looks like the “crescent” aspect was modified somewhat after opposition, but the original design was definitely presented as a “crescent” —

Critics See Symbols of Islam in Flight 93 Memorial Design

SOMERSET, Pa. — As envisioned by its designer, the memorial to the victims who died on Sept. 11, 2001, when United Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pa., would follow the topography of the bowl-shaped land, creating a circular pathway ringed by trees, all focused on the “sacred ground” of the crash site near the bottom of the circle.

Yup. Three billion dollars sure does go a long way. Will we ever get around to using those loan guarantees from the Bush I era? I think they’d much rather the US, instead of giving Israel aid, actively helped them destroy us (Israel). Also, back in 2001, the US wasn’t much in the Middle East, and they still attacked. I think what “they” want from the US is that everyone either convert to Islam, and only their form of Islam, PDQ, or die.

That’s what the plan was to have, a huge crescent shaped memorial pointing to Mecca. What happened to it? A boulder sure beats this insult to those that died:

Rather a big boulder than a crescent moon.

It ought to be a gigantic middle finger, pointing straight at Mecca.

Knowing what is or isn’t being done for memorials at the 9/11 sites is as elusive and confusing as knowing how much of that 700 mile border fence was ever built.

Our government is pathetic and unreliable in far too many ways.

Cool camera link. Looks like it’s still under construction.

I didn’t see a big rock though.

So what happened to the land that was confiscated and the money that was collected for it?
