Its not over. There has NOT been a deal yet. There is only agreement between the "leaders" of the Senate and the "leaders" of the House. The House of Representatives has not voted on it yet. There are military cuts. Your children and grandchildren will be indebted forever. The Balanced Budget Amendment will be destroyed. Boehner will give equal decisions on this Bill to committee democRATs such as Pelosi.
There is still time to stop this monstrosity that will destroy America by calling your representative and telling them they will be PRIMARIED out of their job next election if they support raising the debt ceiling.
Neither has the Senate.
Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
- Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), March 20, 2006
Thanks for posting this. Everyone needs to understand this. Ther is no deal nithing.
Also rush has not had his say yet. Hee hee hee
If we want to save the counry, we have to win the White House and Senate next year. Until then, we have to cut the best deal we can.
People get taken in by talk of “the deal” all the time. I think the parties do it in hopes people will stop calling and screwing up promises they make with each other.
Obama is on tv takinng creit for HIS solutions. All he did was throw tantrums and walk out. Thus idiots arrogance know no bounds. I can’t stand this man. He is pathetic.
THE BUSH TAX RATES ARE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE......
THAT IS A TAX INCREASE.......
THIS DEAL IS A FRUAD ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE......
we don’t need the whitehouse and we likely won’t win it. the Senate, however, is a other story. gotta watch the PR backlash over this debt crisis though or it may bite us in the butt with the unsavvy middle of the road voters.
Agreed, as long as the house reviews the structure and rules of this commission and the fall back triggers, and makes sure it is not structured to bite us in the butt later, it makes sense to get the best deal possible, move on to the 2012 budget and 2012 election.
AND, I just heard on Fox News that the Bush Tax Cuts are allowed to expire at the end of 2012.
that was kind of weird.
The best deal we can get?
A straight debt ceiling increase might have been better, time will tell
You are right.. Hard to do what we want when we control 1/3 of the Government..
Unless your rep is a Dem, tell them to support it- and their president!
It’s not the worse bill they could have given us, but it would be great for the Tea Party if there are just Dem and RINO votes for this.
nobody is sold out yet. the fat lady remains unsung.
Two years from now on July 31, 2013, I predict the GDP to debt ratio will be at least 120% approaching Greek level.
“if we want to save the counry, we have to win the White House and Senate next year. Until then, we have to cut the best deal we can.”
No way. If we want to save the usa we need to draw a line now. Derail this “deal” and blow the whol thing up. We need aclean slate.
