Don Lemon is having a coming out party--and this one has nothing to do with the CNN weekend anchor's recent announcement that he's gay.
Lemon--who came out of the closet in a memoir published in May--was the focus of a "Daily Show" segment last week.
Lemon's biggest on-air moment to-date happened on Saturday, when he clashed with Sen. Rand Paul during a segment the debt ceiling debate.
Lemon had asked all congressional guests to discuss the then-partisan deadlock on Capitol Hill "without talking points." When Lemon pressed Paul to discuss the tea party position without them, the exchange became a bit contentious.
When Lemon interrupted something that sounded like a talking point, Paul demanded to "finish my thought."
"I don't want talking points," Lemon said. "With all due respect, I'm asking you, do you feel the public sentiment in Washington?"
"This isn't a talking point," Paul responded. "I'm trying to tell you what we did 30 minutes ago in the Senate."
Later, Lemon defended his line of questioning to viewers. "It's not ideological to ask someone to stick to the question presented," he said. "It's just being respectful of you--the voter."

Lemon does the chrissy Matthews trick... he talks over the guest.. like Olberman..
He sure is Pretty!!
The whole premise stinks.
“Hey I’d like to discuss an issue without you being able to explain your point of view.”
He, and others, couldn’t get away w/such crap (the 0-pinhead model) w/o the blessing of his boss, others, and, ultimately the people!
We The People are now a mere fraction of the greater (in numbers) of we the sheeple/useful-idiots/hardcore marxists...etc.
In abusing Republicans & libertarians CNN is just playing to their audience.
I wonder how Lemon feels about professional talkers using cliches:
“with all due respect”
“to be honest with you”
are two that should be forever banned.
And that’s why their audience is what it is compared to what FoxNews’ is.
Each and every day CNN contributes to the lowering of the U.S. I.Q.
I watched the exchange. As family friends of the Paul family, it was personal with us when he attacked Rand like that. My wife and I were literally about to tear our TV apart. We were beside ourselves.
He feels pretty and witty and GAY. What a pity he’s such a brainless little Marxist today... Fa la la la la la...
Dem dyke Donna Brazile, Gore 2000 campaign manager for a few weeks, once admitted that the Four Pillars of the Democrat are Women, Homos, the Media, and Blacks, I believe.* And in the “Reporter as Democrat advocate” vein:
“CBS reporter Norah ODonnell told White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing!
By them, of course, she means Republicans, conservatives and tea party activists. By we Miss ODonnell means the entirety of the democrat media complex and fellow communists, socialists, and Alinskyites.”**
Add: "what do you make of...", and "...going forward", and "at the end of the day...".
Reminds me of Gwen Eyfil, when she was with NBC in 1994, interviewing a liberal, George Mitchell I think, asking him: "If we barely hold onto the House, what will we be able to accomplish?"
If Lemon wasn’t a homosexual, would the rest of the media care what he said? He’s a second-rate anchor incapable of drawing an audience.
and a real teeth-grinder:
“some people say”
