Hannity endorses Hatch during the same interview that Hatch praises McConnell and Boehner for extracting "significant cuts" from Obama. Hatch also endorsed Romney during the interveiw.

His conservative votes lately are so transparent.

Jason Chaffetz for Senate.

I caught part of this interview while driving. I swear I heard a Freudian slip on Hatch’s part. He was talking about how he brought a balanced budget amendment to the floor in the ‘90s, and swore he had 67 votes but then “John Heinz” changed his vote.

LOL...if I heard that right, it is a real insight into what John Kerry’s colleagues think of him. “Just a gigolo...”

I know, and I just don’t understand that. They must be friends or something. Bottom line: who is Hatch going to support as majority leader if it came down to McConnell and Demint?

He’d support McConnell.

If it were in 90 or 91, it would have been the John Heinz, “Terayza’s” first husband, the ketchup heir.
He died in a plane crash in Apr 91.

I did not know that Teraaaayza’s first husband was also a senator! I’m sure Kerry was the one who changed his vote, so maybe Hatch just got him confused with the first Mr. Teraaaayza.

No surprise here. Mormons always stick together.
Romney is a Temple Mormon, ie: very high in the church. Please, people, read all you can about Mormonism. It is closely akin to Islam in many, many ways!

“Mark Levin endorsed Hatch too.”

I believe its because of Hatch's ranking position on the Senate Judiciary committee. He is well respected in that position and has helped block Obama's judicial selections. He would have major clout following the 2012 election, whether Obama is defeated or not.

Maybe in the 19th century with the Mountain Meadows massacre of wagon train settlers, but certainly not in the 21th century. It may not be conventional Christian, but equating Islamic Jihad with Mormon practices is way too far of a reach.

First of all, paperdoll did not mention Islamic Jihad, but stated that Mormonism is closely akin to Islam.

Which it is.

They have had a conference every year for quite some time.

Right in this century.

At the conference they themselves equate Mormonism with Islam and explore their "mutual goals and cooperative endeavors."

And you are right, Mormonism is NOT conventional Christianity. As a matter of fact, mainstream Christianity does not recognize the LDS belief system as Christian.

True enough, but support of Jihad is one of the main beliefs in Islam, though it can mean anything from a personal struggle to literally fighting infidels.

RE :”I can’t believe I once liked Hannity. Guy is a tool.

Back in 2008 and earlier he was big government Bush/McCain RINO when that was ‘in’. At the end of Bush late 2008 he supported Bush bailing out GM with TARP and was working for GM(commercials). And then he pushed Steele for the RNC.

Now he is Mr small government freedom Tea party now that that is ‘in’

I wouldn't want anyone as clueless as him arguing my side. He reminds me of his girl-friend Elizabeth Hasselback, man is she dumb!

Oh? Consider this. The Mormons believe that the more children you have, and multiple wives help there as in Islam, the more power a man will have when he dies and his higher power gives him his own planet to rule. Similar, but not quite the same as Islam and their 70 virgins. Both religions are heavily patriarchal. Was it Joseph Smith or Brigham Young who pronounced himself the “New Muhammad”? Both religions are very heavy on “their way or the highway”, just in different degrees. hey both wear strange underwear, I am told, with symbol at the heart and crotch.
In absolutely no way is Mormonism Christian any more than Islam is Christian! They have the book of Mormon and the Koran. Christians have only the Holy Bible. Different books, different Gods.

Unless Hannity is also a Mormon, he has to be extremely ignorant of that sect to be endorsing anyone who is a member. For instance, Glenn Beck is Mormon and of course he endorses Jon Huntsman, also a Mormon.

If you want more information, read Walter Martin’s “Kingdom of the Cults”.

Mark Levin Endorses Orrin Hatch For Senate (Full Interview)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX0N2wiEi-w
Jun 2011

He didn’t even know if Chaffetz would take on Hatch. He loved Hatch’s shift. He supported Hatch full tilt. He doesn’t seek perfection he said. Liked the career of Orrin Hatch. Levin talked about Robert Bork in 1987 and Hatch supporting Bork.

Well Glenn Beck likes Jason Chaffetz. Chaffetz was on more recently on Glenn Beck’s radio show this summer. But here is him on the ex-Fox News show in 2009:

I greatly appreciate the link and have listened to the interview with Orrin Hatch and if everything that was stated is true (100% rating with ACU and 99% with the National Taxpayer’s Union, staunch pro-life) I have no problem with Levin’s endorsement. Hatch always struck me as a RINO however, in all fairness, I haven’t really researched his actual votes.

Sean is interesting. His problem is he likes access. He has stood up to the establishment but he is far too comfortable with it. The problem with so many of the radio guys is that they are often only marginal proponents of conservatism. They don’t really expect things to change or even desire it. Look how many come out and make excuses for a GOP when they roll over on something like this debt deal. Look at how silent they are on many conservative issues and how often they follow the NY Times and leftist media’s lead. True they are better than nothing but conservatism will never ascend to its rightful place of dominance of political, cultural, and academic prominance while we fight from the prespective of what we are willing to give up.
We just lost a no lose trench warfare bought with the Democrats. They gave up nothing and are still unhappy. Our side is happy only for the intangeables of the debate. The Democrats are still playing the game to push the boundaries on spending and size of govt while we are playing the game not to win any ground but to simply slow them down.

You are absolutely correct. Many of the media “conservatives” are in it for ratings, and they love the political game. They try to keep the listeners stirred up so they keep coming back for more. Such hosts claim allegiance to the Constitution, but their allegiance takes second place to their more immediate concern: audience numbers.
