Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of Russia, and former head of the KGB, rules as de facto czar of enormous empire that spans 11 time zones. A confirmed and dedicated Communist, Putin has decided that Russia should publicly honor another fellow socialist on his 50th birthday.
From "The Voice of Russia" English language website we read:
Russia's Post Office has issued a collection of stamps and envelopes to mark the 50th jubilee of the US President Barack Obama.
The US leader is celebrating his birthday on the 4th of August.
In one of his recent interviews Mr. Obama said that fifty years ago nobody could imagine Russia and the US as partners. He added that confrontation ended together with the Cold War.

Ok, I told this joke at 3 a.m. camped out in a parking lot with other folks who were waiting for Sarah Palin’s booksigning event for “Going Rogue”. You could hear us giggling quietly so we didn’t wake anyone else up!
Here goes:
0bama decides he wants a commemorative postal stamp of himself. He spends a couple million of the taxpayer dollars finding an artist who will do just the right profile picture for the stamp. He then proceeds to spend a few more million taxpayer dollars to get the stamp out into circulation with a huge PR campaign by the USPS.
6 months later, the USPS is being barraged with complaints about the poor quality of the stamp. It doesn’t stick to anything! People are getting their bills returned in the mail for lack of postage, and the creditors are sending them nastygrams!
So, the USPS tells 0bama there’s a problem, and, true to his roots, he commissions yet another couple million of taxpayer dollars to find out why the stamps don’t stick.
It appeared that people were spitting on the wrong side!

What a scandal this is. Obama -a living pres - a hero of the Russian Republic. Hard to believe. Somebody wake me, please.

Should be a great investment as every stamp collector knows, stamps with mistake on them are more valuable....
He should be on a Chinese stamp too...
Let’s honor Russia by giving them Obama!
