Somewhere, Khrushchev is laughing.
So getting one thing for free means you automatically qualify to get MORE ADDITIONAL things for free? WTF?!
But I really worry that the next generation won't understand that incentive at all. Work?? Why? What's the point?
Hi Admin, can you please remove the “Forums > Hot Deals” from the title? Thank you.
I too, remember a time in my life that I worked hard to get my child on that list of free lunches.
been putting off a consolidation of phone, TV and internet service for a longtime.
ThX, Comcast! You’ve helped me decide where I go for my next bundle.. and it won’t be with ComCast.
To vote Democrat, cradle to grave.
Sure, why not?
“Everything free in America!”
P0rn webmasters will be toasting this decision tonight...
The Obama Federales demanded and intimidated Comcast into doing this. On a 120$ cable bill for TV+internet you get $9 in taxes tacked on. Some of that 9$ is providing virtually free internet to these anchor baby families, baby-mama families with five kids from five baby daddies etc etc
If you get just internet from Comcast it is $42/month for low speed internet which this $9.99 deal must be. I’ll be shocked if it is for the real hi-speed deal
I'm wondering about it myself.
I’m just about at the point of saying “F*C* OFF AND DIE!” to Comcast and going with an over-the-air antenna.
This is ridiculous.
Please post more information on this, like a good citation. Thanks!
This is strange but at least it is a private company doing it and not the government for a change.
You got one thing wrong. It’s “chillins” not children. Remember, Obama said “Our time has come”.
Ciao - long time no talk!
You don’t think Obama has a (strong) hand in this? Didn’t Comcast just buy NBC? Obama and Immelt are buds.
Thak you both for the corrections; one needs to speak the lingo!!!
My kids get free lunch every day fromt eh Family School Lunch Program. Free breakfast and dinner too. Even weekends and holidays. Is our homeschool eligible?
Not if you’re a taxPAYER. Sorry, you lose.
(just like mos of the folks on FR...)
Free cell phones and nearly free internet for illegals and others who don’t declare their income. Around here hispanic’s automatically get free lunches..preschool..breakfast..after school day care..etc.
Almost every kid in the government schools gets a free lunch. This is going to cost the paying Comcast customers a fortune.
Amen to that!
I sent it to some po Christian folks I know. Why should the parasites be the only ones to get almost “free internet”
Well anything is possible with this administration. i was just hoping for once Free enterprise was being used. Good to see you and hope you have a great day!!!
I used to joke about Baraq expanding food stamps to internet stamps and gas stamps.
Looks like it wasn’t a joke....
Why would the parasites even think about looking for a job when they have millions of tax slaves to buy everything for them?
Starve the beast. Bank your cash. It's better you have it than someone who's done nothing to earn it.
THE OBAMA-TRONS JAMMED COMCAST and now Comcast is going to jam you and me
As part of its merger with NBC Universal earlier this year, Comcast is required to provide 2.5 million low-income households with high-speed Internet for less than $10 a month; computers for less than $150 a month; and digital literacy training, according to the Federal Communications Commission.
A program launching this week in partnership with the Comcast cable provider seeks to change that. Families with children who qualify for free school lunches can sign up for low-cost, high-speed Internet, buy a computer at a discount and take free Internet training.
Access to the Internet is akin to a civil rights issue for the 21st Century, said David Cohen, Comcast executive vice president. Its that access that enables people in poorer areas to equalize access to a quality education, quality healthcare and vocational opportunities.
and there’s Fupping MORE....
I wonder if it only connects to whitehouse.gov, moveon.org, and msnbc.com?
No, it wasn’t.
napscoordinator, read this!
Of course! Get with it man! (/s)
I bet my grandfather who only made it through 8th grade was better educated than these kids with their computers and internet service.
Anything the democrat scroungers want is now a civil right, and it's the slave laborers who have to provide it for them.
Starve the beast. Free the tax slaves. Let them find their own jobs for a change.

Last year the school had us fill out the Free Lunch Eligibility form. We do NOT qualify. We noted that. Signed it. Turned it in.
Then they said we qualify. We told them we do not. Wouldn’t take it. MADE them take us off the list.
Wonder if they’ll do it again this year? Follow the money.
AMEN - follow the money!
Watching it on your smartphone just isn’t the same I would imagine...
If you have high speed (3/4G), I would say yes. I have EDGE, so no.
“Must not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment”. And 90% of those who were reading about this deal with interest just went “Damn!!”.
Every cell phone user is subsidizing the free cell phones and you can bet that Comcast is building the cost of this into regular subscribers’ fees.
Oh, they’ll just use another name and SS#.
This will enable them to do more social networking. (Flash mob/flash rob)
