Whitehouse minds in charge are convinced this latest downturn in the market is due entirely to corporations holding so much cash, they are driving down stock prices to use that cash for discounted stock buy-backs. If only the money could be confiscated in taxes, the problem would be solved.
In Gilligans head, us common folk should’nt be owning stock. It’s like gambling in Vegas. We need to turn any extra money over to him for redistribution, doncha know....
Think how bad it could have been had there been no debt ceiling bill.

This has me very concerned, my wife and I are going to lose a lot of money in our 401Ks and mutual funds.
Actually our secret plan is to keep beating the slash spending drum and drive the DOW down to about 6000 before the election of Palin. Then when Palin is elected we will all invest our secret trillions that we have stashed in our mattresses in our Hobbit Huts and pour it into the stock market and let it rise to 15,000 before we cash it all in.
Don't tell anybody. It's a secret.
I keep a graph of my business’s sales history on the wall next to my desk.
At the end of November, 2008 the graph stopped going up and sharply turned downward. It continued going down at a 60 degree angle until it bottomed on November 2009. Only then did it start turning back up.
Gee! I wonder what would have caused that? Let me guess: November 2008 Obama elected. Could that have possibly been the cause?
Now, the markets have been tanking for a few days now and I hurt my brain trying to figure it out. Could that have possibly been caused by Obama?

Under BUSH...in Oct 2007 the DOW was around 14000...and by Nov 2008 it was 7500.
And let me remind you that the Democrats took over a fine economy in Jan of ‘07 and took to trashing it in time for the Nov ‘08 elections so we could all be conditioned to hate Bush. Looks like the conditioning is somewhat irreversible.
