Obama's 50th Birthday bash: Stevie Wonder, Chris Rock, Tom Hanks, Whoopi Goldberg,
Chicago Sun Times ^ | Aug. 5, 2011 | Lynn Sweet

President Obama celebrated his 50th birthday Thursday night with a celebrity-filled bash, as entertainer Chris Rock reported on his Twitter feed: "Just left the Presidents birthday party at the White House. Herbie Hancock played, Stevie Wonder sang and yes they did the electric slide. A great night."

Daughter Malia, 13 just arrived home from summer camp in time for the Rose Garden party as she was joined by her sister, Sasha, 10, First Lady Michelle, grandmother Marian Robinson and their godmother, Eleanor "Mama Kaye, Wilson," who flew to Washington from Chicago on Air Force One with Obama when he returned from his Thursday fund-raiser back home.

Obama's party--paid for, the White House said, by the First Couple--was closed press and not on his official schedule. Obama's team was not eager for pictures of the bash, coming as the stock market was plunging and a new jobless report comes out Friday morning.

Eddie Gehman Kohan, put together a detailed report about the five-hour barbeque, based on interviews of people who were there. Read her entire article here.

From Kohan's article: "Stevie Wonder gave a "surprise" performance during the celebration; his hit "You and I" was the President and First Lady Obama's wedding song. Revelers included Jay Z; Tom Hanks; Chris Rock; hoops legends Charles Barkley and Grant Hill; Whoopi Goldberg; Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith; and actor Hill Harper. He's one of the President's closest chums from Harvard law school, and star of CSI: NY. Jazz great Herbie Hancock and his ensemble played;

"The night was balmy, and when dinner was done, a DJ spun dance tunes--"like at a Bar Mitzvah," said one guest. The twenty tables for ten in the Rose Garden were pushed aside so guests could dance, led by the President and Mrs. Obama.

Oh my word! How funny! That is the best pic I've seen in months! I nearly spewed my coffee when I spied John Belushi!

Of course they don't want pics of the bash. The economy is crashing, lots of hard working people cant find jobs for going on 2-3 years, his policies are being exposed for what they are—a Leftist scheme, his wife is a grifter who is filtering millions of $$$ through the Let's Move program to her fellow travellers...etc., etc.

Last year when he felt invincible...Oh, boy...the pics would have been released to great fan fare! Oh, and what about that “fit, international style icon”? Just a few months ago she would be parading her designer outfit like a fat arsed peacock...Now...oh...no pics.

These grifters are going down. Hopefully Issa is getting ready to go after Obama after he takes down Holder.

Naw....times are tough for Barry and Moo....no pics to rile up the po folk.

The really disgusting thing is that, although the Founders demonstrated how serious an offense they viewed bribery as being, by only mentioning it and treason as specifically impeachable offenses in Article II, Section 4 of he Constitution, the entire MSM has utterly ignored the up to their eyeballs bribery conspiracy Moochelle and the Illegal were probably in with the U.C. Hospitals Corporation.

Yep off to Martha’s Vineyard while there are racial attacks at fairs and people stealing AC’s from houses to cash in when people have no jobs and are horrified about balancing their budget.

Very interesting: Bernardine Dohrn and Pete Seeger together at the Filmore East. Thanks.

I was born and raised about 10 blocks from there, btw. We moved in 1970.

"Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!"
-Weather Underground leader and wife of Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, referring to the Manson murders

"Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at"
--Bill Ayers (1970), quoted in New York Times, September 11, 2001:

Article: "No Regrets for a Love Of Explosives; In a Memoir of Sorts, a War Protester Talks of Life With the Weathermen"

Allies in War
By David Horowitz
FrontPageMagazine.com | Monday, September 17, 2001:

excerpt...

In 1969, Ayers and his wife convened a "War Council" in Flint Michigan, whose purpose was to launch a military front inside the United States with the purpose of helping Third World revolutionaries conquer and destroy it.

Taking charge of the podium, dressed in a high-heeled boots and a leather mini-skirt – her signature uniform – Dorhn incited the assembled radicals to join the war against "Amerikkka" and create chaos and destruction in the "belly of the beast."

Her voice rising to a fevered pitch, Dohrn raised three fingers in a "fork salute" to mass murderer Charles Manson whom she proposed as a symbol to her troops. Referring to the helpless victims of the Manson Family as the "Tate Eight" (the most famous was actress Sharon Tate) Dohrn shouted:

Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!..."

"Today William Ayers is not merely an author favored by the New York Times, but a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago.

His Lady Macbeth [Bernardine Dohrn] is not merely a lawyer, but a member of the American Bar Association’s governing elite, as well as the director of Northwestern University’s Children and Family Justice Center."

One way or the other, it was over $300,000, IIRC about $350,000, all for nothing but the earmark, since the position was elimnated as soon as the Illegal and Moochelle went to the WH.

After sending the White House press corps home early at 4 p.m., the president welcomed politicos, celebrities, donors and close friends for dinner in the Rose Garden and music in the East Room, including a medley by Stevie Wonder that ended in “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours,” according to Friday’s POLITICO Playbook.

The evening began with chicken, ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta and salad in the Rose Garden, and then four kinds of pie: apple, peach, huckleberry and cherry. At the end of the dinner, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha presented the president with a cake, before the party moved indoors.

In the East Room, performers included R&B singer Ledisi, jazz musician Herbie Hancock and Wonder. The president encouraged everyone to dance – and they did. Lots of kids were on hand and they stole the show as they danced in center of the East Room.

“Hanks must have really stood out in THAT crowd. I’m surprised (and yet, disappointed) they didn’t beat him up.”

Nah.

He’s just another garden variety, self-hating white liberal who despises and condescends to most other whites, and really wishes he, himself was “cool” and black.

So that’s OK with them.

I stopped paying $$$ to see films with actors who are vociferous in their support of the Left, and who make their disdain of Conservatives known. Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon, etc. Hanks is also on the list.

_________________________________

I have done the same - I will not go to their movies, purchase or rent one or watch them on TV as it all puts $$$ in their pockets.

Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Jane Fonda, Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, and so many more are on my list. Strangely I have noticed Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Kurt Russell in quite a few things lately - not necessarily movies that are at the theaters, but TV movies....hard to avoid all of them but I will not give them a dime for the ‘entertainment’

That is one big boatload of seriously icky people.

I’d walk around with a box of disposable surgical gloves and a gallon of hand sanitizer to wash off anything I touched.
