POLICE may have a new lead in the fake bomb case that terrified a teenager in Sydney's lower north shore.

Channel Nine reports that staff at Mosman's Buena Vista Hotel noticed a man dressed in dark clothing acting anxiously on Wednesday afternoon.
When police cars sped past the hotel towards the Pulvers' home, the man reportedly became more stressed and ran out.

Strange story is getting stranger.
This is a type of crime that I hoped was best forgotten so thanks Hollywood for the new stupid movie ( “30 Minutes or Less” ) about it.

This doesn’t seem like much of a lead, but I sure hope they catch this schmuck. I read that they would be checking all the components of the “bomb” for DNA. That seems like the most promising path to me. (Of course, I don’t know much about these things...)
It is unusual that there is no description of the suspect, his car, or the woman who was driving it. Normally, an official description is waved in the face of public at every opportunity.
He was wearing a mask, but still - there would be an approximate height, and build. There might also be an Asian/Middle Eastern/Anglo-Australian distinction to be made.
