Our mail is delivered from a post office 14.5 miles away based on our assigned ZIP code, while there are two different zip code post offices within 6.5 miles.

Our primary post office is actually a substation of a much larger office that is about 25 miles from our home. The area north of Austin had just over 5,000 people living there in the late 80s and early 90s. It now has over 35,000 and growing.

There is actually a PO that is closer that serves several zip codes. That office had to build a new facility to handle the growth. The had a small office in a strip mall, and now have one that sits on several acres.

BTW, welcome to FR!

I’ve been wondering the same thing about the foundation. Had moved the sprinkler closer to the back side of the house this AM for that reason. I normally don’t water the sides because one side is impossible to get to but I can certainly handwater the fourth side.

Have you started your fall transplants? When will you be putting them out? It’s so hot that I’ve been putting off starting them but time is ticking away to get in a fall garden. Noticed a neighbor is building a greenhouse.

Thanks for the info, I’m planning to stop by there in October and I’ll do just that!

I am trying to keep a few tomato plants alive for fall. I started some onion seeds the way my dad used to, so will see if they come up.

Don’t know about now. I haven’t been there for 7 - 8 years but they did then. I got one!
