Democrats view Rick Perry as vulnerable and are gearing up to take him on
Boston Herald ^ | August 7, 2011 | Todd J. Gillman The Dallas Morning News

WASHINGTON — As Rick Perry gears up for a presidential bid, Democrats also are making preparations — dusting off years of opposition research, sharpening attack points, designing anti-Perry websites and, for the most part, awaiting his entry with more eagerness than anxiety.

They’re not trying to tip the GOP primary. But in seeking to tar Perry as a flawed extremist, they want to ensure that as voters beyond Texas get to know him, he won’t be able to shake that image later.

"He has a pretty poor record as governor of Texas on a lot of measures — on wage growth, on job growth, on health care," said Bill Burton, head of a new pro-Obama political action committee, Priorities USA, and until recently the deputy White House press secretary.

.....Texas Democrats will offer a one-stop shop to expose what they see as Perry’s warts, gaffes and failures. They’ve created a website (www.meetrickperry.com) devoted to that cause. It’s fundraising tool for now, but it will go live when and if Perry jumps into the race, perhaps this month.

"We’ll do everything we can to introduce him to the American public," Richie said. "We have been working diligently to put material together."

Perry/Palin

It’s going to take two good ones and these two have it all.

They’ve both been dragged through the dirt and still cleaner then what’s in the WH now.

Santorum has a good chance of winning back his Senate seat should he decide to try. Hopefully when his presidential aspirations fizzle out he will turn his attention to the Senate.

bill burton is a lowdown, filthy-dirty, scumsucking, bottom feeding, loathsome, treacherous, diabolical, particularly vile, shifty, venomous viper in a nest of same.

Perry bothers me personally as I am not sure his outward appearance represents his inner motive. However, as soon as the Dem’s start throwing their spears, his charismatic response like a general in a war will cause him to be the winner. He has excellent leadership abilities in a time of battle.... We just have to be careful that the ends do not justify the means of the battle and we end up with someone extreme in the other direction.

I always find gay whispers humorous when used by the left since it starkly reveals the hypocrisy of their support for (like Blacks)that constituency.

I’m not yet convinced he will run. I think he will, but wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t. I also don’t think he is our best choice by a long shot.

Bill, what are you smoking??? Everybody in the country knows about job growth in Texas except you. You're going to get a can of whoop ass if you pursue this logic.

He is a big RINO who love.. girls having lots of sex...

Yeah right, Rick Perry wanted them to be innoculated against cervical cancer, he wanted to save lives.

It was a boneheaded move on his part, he let his heart get in the way of his good sense. He got kicked hard for it, and then went the opt-in route. Today it's part of the state's vaccination program, and women's health is better for it.

Only a Perry hater would accuse the man of wanting 12 year-old girls to be humping their way across Texas. You make yourself look foolish with such a slanderous claim.

Romney is looking better every day and he doesn’t look very good.
I'll vote for Perry, though with reservations. There is no way I'll vote for Romney under any circumstances.

If that is the best they can throw at him, then they ain’t got much.

I felt the same way the other morning when the local radio station had some doofus liberal on attacking Rick Perry for using his own money for back surgery. It was an expensive and experimental surgery involving adult stem cells. The liberal argued that this money spent was hypocritical while Texas cut teacher pay.

I was saying to myself "Gee, is THAT the best they can do?"

Or like this spam e-mail going around attacking Perry for being 33rd in the nation on teacher pay. My thought was "So would you rather be in the Top 5 and paying teachers the same union-dominated wage they get in expensive states like California and Massachusetts? Did these Perry haters not witness what we just saw in Wisconsin over teacher wages?

Watch carefully the smoke and mirrors of the Perry haters. There are some honest-to-goodness mistakes the governor has made in the past 11 years but I'd take his record as governor over what any other state is producing and it would be even better without the interference of the EPA and other federal fascists.

Whispers from Austin say that there are some folks in town making inquiries in to Perry's sexuality. He better be prepared for that. It is coming.

And they keep emanating from you.

I addressed that over here.

And another poster address it over here.

"STOP SPAMMING THE IDIOTIC PERRY IS GAY STORY!!!"

" You keep posting the part of the story with the salacious rumors, but conveniently leave out the part where they never find any evidence that there is any truth to the story!

The part you purposely omit...

For the record, Naked City looked into the Perry rumors when they first surfaced some weeks ago – inevitably accompanied by the warning, “The divorce papers are being filed today!” – and found no evidence of any truth to any of them, whatsoever. Amid much finger-pointing about who was the original source (and which political party he or she belongs to), nobody will go on the record.

The governor's office (perhaps understandably) refuses any and all comment beyond a one-sentence statement from Perry spokesperson Kathy Walt: “These are false, malicious, and hurtful rumors, and the Chronicle's own investigation acknowledges that fact.”

We also know that numerous other reporters, from here to New York, have looked into the rumors, with, as far as we know, an identical lack of results. Nor do we expect anything we say here to have any effect on the rumors, which have become entirely self-replicating as they echo through the blogosphere." Source

This is your "style" of character assassination as posted on Posted on the Internet

*****************

[“There is a story in politics, commonly attributed to Lyndon B. Johnson, about how LBJ wanted to circulate a rumor attacking his opponent in a Texas election. Johnson, it's said, wanted to spread the story that his opponent liked to have sex with barnyard animals. One of LBJ's aides said, "We can't prove he's a pig f----r."

"I know that," replied Johnson. "I just want to hear him deny it."

”Rush Limbaugh was detained for several hours at the Palm Beach airport yesterday for having non-prescription Viagra (and maybe some other stuff as well, it's not clear). He was returning from the Dominican Republic, a popular "sex tourism" destination where rich white men can have sex with underaged, desperate, sex-slave Dominican girls. Putting two and two together, I wonder: is that why Pigboy was down there, committing legal rape with the help of his non-scrip ED medicine?

"I can't prove it. I just want to hear him deny it.”] - End

Can you say BILLary

As I learned on FR, the Chicago mob had political "nuclear weapons" that could be used on the Clintons if the Clintons tried to bring up Obama's dubious past. You know the Clinton's vaunted private detective operation had all the inside info on Obama.

This makes a primary challenge in 012 most unlikely.
