The Dems always try to cast the Republican candidate as “stupid” and their gaffes are paraded on the late night silly shows. How do you think Perry would fare here? Is he at gaffe prone? (We know that Obama is and Biden is way over the top on gaffe-ness, but they get by with it because they are Democrats and excuses are made). It seems that the first thing they always do is try to characterize the candidate as “dumb” and I see they have already begun with the release of Perry’s college transcripts. (Isn’t it illegal to release someone’s transcripts without permission?) Anyway, you seem to have a lot of research and I would welcome your thoughts on this.

That is a good idea except make it Carter morphing into Obama and Obama morphing into the older Obama and say “Remember the last time we elected a Progressive? You should, it wasn’t that long ago.”

Who was the last kingmaker?

Seriously what a dumb thing to write.

Sarah won’t lose millions. After 8 years as President of the USA, I’m sure she’ll be able to make a decent living.

But they do have to pay property taxes. What’s the diff?

Is that a serious question?

>> Sarah would be crazy to run...she’d lose millions and cease to have the pulpit she has. Sarah is a king maker!!!<<

If she declared to be not running her “king maker” status would be dust in the wind. It would be over for her. The only reason she still has any gravitas is because of a possible chance of her running. Even a run for Senator from Nevada would diminish any influence she has on the national stage. Her only chance at influence is as a candidate or possible candidate.

I love Sarah but she is not showing any signs of running that I can tell. The right loves her but the squishy moderates don’t. If she runs I’ll support her but common sense tells you she won’t win. Like it or not the MSM media has done a hatchet job on her and I don’t think the moderates in this world are suffistcated enough to see thru it...IMHO!!!!

Obama is DYING to run against Bush.

Obama has been running against Bush since 2007, it's nothing new, and quite frankly it's gotten boring.

Obama needs to come up with something better than "I'm not Bush". Did you know that W's poll numbers are higher these days than Obama's?

He needs to run as the "I'm not Obama" candidate. The problem is, Perry or whoever the Republican nominee is will be doing that already. :)

You’re speaking as though teachers don’t pay (state) taxes as some sort of justification for lower salaries. They do pay (state) taxes just like everyone else.

I agree with you. Why would she give those up? And she knows that, should she run and be elected, her family will be savaged by the Left.

Not true she has a loyal following that she can bring to bear at will....she is probably the hotest politacal speaker and demands huge fee’s to speak. That all would be deminished by a failed presidential campaign.

Teacher salaries are the same as anyone else’s they are what the market will bear...and that is comming from a retired teacher.Teachers in Texas are amply rewarded for their services and if it’s not enough they can find another gig!!!

You forgot how to read?

Where did I say teachers deserved more? That was not part of the conversation. I didn’t say it.

READ. If you’re a teacher you should know how.

Read what I said. Texas does not have a state income tax so none of us pay it...including Texas teachers. They have more take home pay than teachers in states with a state income state that are giving salary with one hand and taking it back in the form of taxes with the other.

Yes we have property taxes in TX...but has zero to do with income tax.

Teachers get paid. Then they turn around and give back to the school district—>state thousands in property taxes. In other states it’s part of their income tax. We in Texas don’t pay “income” taxes, but we still pay, just like everyone else in every other state.
Quit trying to act as though teachers in Texas get some kind of bargain.

To the others on this thread— this is my last off-topic comment.
