WASHINGTON (AP) Two senators and former presidential candidates say Standard & Poors decision to downgrade the U.S. credit rating speaks to the need for more bipartisan compromise but they also say the blame lay with the other party.

Both are full of Sh*t
Two liberal losers speak. Enough said.
What would these two clowns do if it wasn’t for Sunday morning talk shows?
YOU ARE TO BLAME. Here is what S&P said
The big lie in the Establishment media is that this was caused by Tea Party holding the Debt Ceiling bill hostage. That is a total lie that all Conservative/Libertarians need to be nuking right now.
S&P said no such thing. What S&P said is
One day after lowering the nations platinum triple-A credit rating, Standard & Poors analysts warned Saturday that the U.S. government could face a second downgrade if the economy continues to struggle and the government fails to make the cuts outlined in the debt ceiling agreement.
I’m sure they both have equal contempt and disdain for those littel people- the damned pesky hobbits.
Right now, the blame totally is with the Democrat Party and the do nothing budget they refuse to write and exhibit to all Americans. Their only plan is to upgrade and tax more, then spend the results for more votes. This is not a way out of anything. We will be down graded farther if this happens.
“Bipartisanship” is the first refuge of a scoundrel....
2 men who have been in Washington WAYYYYY too long look to place the blame elsewhere....what a shocker.
Hand, meet glove.
when do the S&P “hearings” begin?
To continue your metaphor,(”both are full of S*it”) I was going to say that the two Johns should meet each other in another john to do their “bipartisan” work.
Here comes John McCain again as the Left’s best friend.
Here comes John McCain again to flush away any significance
in being a member of “the opposition party”.
Bipartisanship is what got us here, IMO
Figures. The two biggest jaska$$es in the senate get together to figure out how to “save” us. It’s the spending IDIOTS.
“bipartisan work” got us in the mess we’re in.
Fake hero teams up with real patriot who forgot what he was standing for...
I’m hoping that the same people come out with a John F’in Kerry (D. Viet) ruling class card soon.....
They are part of the problem.
Explain to me again what the difference is between The Republican Party and The DemocRAT Party?
Try to use monosyb....monosylaba.....monosbly......short words.
And this is from the John Kerry that just said tea partiers’ opinions, views, and statements shouldn’t be reported in the media.
Take your bipartisan work and shove it straight up your asses, you traitorous bastards!
Asking two clueless people who helped cause the problem how to solve the problem could be useful if we realize that whatever they suggest, we should do exactly the opposite.
Kerry has been virtually silent for months! Why bother to speak up now? Looking to get on the gang of 6??
Other than serving in Vietnam...what has he done????
Kerry, President Downgrade, Reid, Pelosi, and such, represent their Vision for the leading edge of the Democratic Party Movement - the TEAT Party.
Next up: The Kerry-McCain Tax & Spend Act.
Kerry and McStain. Both unfit for command.
McCain is moving back into RINO mode. He already won reelection by pretending to be a conservative. It’s sad that AZ conservative voters fell for it.
McCain also temporarily acted like a conservative since many people see the failed presidential candidate as a party leader, until a new candidate is nominated. So Republicans convinced him that as a reward for the nomination he should stop stabbing the party in the back for a few years.
Also McCain is a sore loser, so after the election he was more angry against Obama than the Republican Party.
From Para-Ord.45, yesterday comes this quote, which needs to be stated often!
-S&P exec John Chambers,
But $4 trillion would be a good down payment. We thought that..if policy makers could deliver the goods on that, then that would be a strong sign on our political scores and eventually on our projections on the fiscal side.
S&P has already said it may slash the Triple-A rating if a debt ceiling deal is not accompanied by what it deems is a credible plan to cut the $14.3 trillion federal [debt] by $4 trillion.
S&Ps Chambers is saying the ratings agency wants to see at least a $4 trillion deal, one that would come with bipartisan support.
There was only ever one plan that did what S&P said was required $4 trillion in cuts with bipartisan support. Thatd be Cut, Cap, and Balance a plan that cut $4 trillion and got bipartisan support in the House of Representatives.
As Democrats tonight, and some Republicans, lash out and blame the Tea Party for causing the United States to lose its credit rating, it is worth pointing out that only the Tea Party offered up a plan to avoid what happened.-

Sorry, should have pinged you to your own post...which I reposted.
No matter how it turned out, the American people would win.
Most of what these two, old, senile dinosaurs say is completely irrelevant, if not downright stupid. A RINO and a PINKO...both yesteryear's news. Go home to your rocking chairs, boys...nobody with any savy gives a crap about what either one of you has to say.
Both major leage @$$ holes.
Tweedledee (McCain) and Tweedledum (Dean)
Tweedledum and Tweedledee
went down to Washington DC
they take from all a goodly sum
to fill the pockets of Tweedledee and Tweedledum
Tweedledum and Tweedledee
make fun of the Tea Party
but soon the reckoning will come
the downfall of Tweedledee and Tweedledum
Getting fire hydrants moved from in front of his house.
TERM LIMITS...throw em all out.
TwoViet Nam Veterans.
One brainwashed in a POW camp and the other served 3 months before our own troops warned him to go home.
“[T]he fabled and distinguished chief of naval operations,Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, told me —30 years ago when he was still CNO [chief naval officer in Vietnam] that during his own command of U.S. naval forces in Vietnam, just prior to his anointment as CNO, young Kerry had created great problems for him and the other top brass,by killing so many non-combatant civilians and going after other non-military targets. “We had virtually to straitjacket him to keep him under control”, the admiral said. “Bud” Zumwalt got it right when he assessed Kerry as having large ambitions —but promised that his career in Vietnam would haunt him if he were ever on the national stage.”
Go away McCain.
Less McCain. More tea please.
“Tweedledum and Tweedledee
make fun of the Tea Party
but soon the reckoning will come
the downfall of Tweedledee and Tweedledum”
It’s really Tweedledum and Tweedledumber.
Both of you imbeciles are to blame: your attitude that the federal government is the be-all and end-all, and your buying of votes, has gotten us to this juncture.
If there is a massive collapse of the US economy, it will be worth it all, if the collapse forces this nation and its peoples to its founding principles.
Two senators and former presidential candidates abuse the privlege of ignorance.
Replacements due at election time.
The Dems own this crisis, with some help from Bush's aversion to using the bully pulpit in an agressive manner. The Dems had Congress the last two years of Bush'd admin; they and Clinton before them, owned the collapse of the mortgage junk bond empire. The Dems have been out of comliance with the law of the land for more than 2 years concerning a budget.
They do not even seem concerned about the downgrade because they are what Senator Grassly called DC--an island surrounded by reality. To that definition, I would add that they have insulated that island so that the sea of reality surrounding them doesn't even get close enough to lap upon the shore.
Small Businesswomans Epic Rant Against Obamas Disastrous Economic Policies
I am convinced that McC is in the mid stages of dementia. He denies proven facts. He reminds me of two other AZ Senators, Hayden and Goldwater. Both of them overstayed their brains also. I suspect the female family members have turned him, just as the new Mrs. Goldwater destroyed a good conservative in Barry.
The democrat talking heads are using the same talking point, that this is “a Tea Party downgrade”. It is obvious that theirs is a coordinated response. Kerry said it, Rachel Maddow said it. Why aren’t the republicans calling this what is is, an Obama downgrade. We always seem to have a crap shoot, uncoordinated response. Although I can’t stand him, Lindsey Graham made Howard Dean look stupid. Not a particularly difficult challenge but at least it wasn’t a swing and miss like McCain.
Another question..Why are McLame and Lindsey our teams spokesmen? Are they the only ones asked or are guys like Ryan and Rubio not available?
