Mosin Nagant caller.

Man, a few years ago you could get albanian brass cased ammo for $35 per 440 count can.
I bought 8 cans.
I wish I had bought more.

That’s a good price.

Have never had any problems with PMC.

I was just checking several sites yesterday for 7.62x54r. The best deal I saw was from “ammo to go”, $144.95 for a crate of 880 rounds. No where near as well as you did on the Albanian stuff, but better than most anywhere else on the current market.

I’ve never used PMC but my nephew bought a bunch and he’s happy with it.

Might have to make a GT run tomorrow.

Thanks guys!!

That $35 a tin price was 3 or 4 years ago.
The price has more than doubled since then.

I would think that would be frowned on.

...flat top (for optics options) and chambered in 5.56.

I'd add to that a railed front gas block to accept his choice of folding BUIS, and a 16" barrel with mid-length gas system. That seems to be the AR's "sweet spot" with regard to size vs. reliable function. DGI works fine, though I have an Adams Arms piston kit on a mid-length carbine. Works great with no sign of bolt carrier "tilt".

Rifling twist depends on what he's likely to feed it. As for brand, it's mostly a pricing game at this point. No real junk out there, at least not in the "basic" category, new in the box. Just beware of the home-builts on the used rifle rack.

I’ve never shot a Ruger 22/45.

Would that have the same controls as the Taurus 1911?
