IMO, the best solution is gridlock forcing the automatic cuts.

Given the Reid picks the best possible outcome is certainly the auto triggers because there is no way those three idiots are going to propose anything but tax hikes and defense cuts. They are three profoundly un-serious picks.

Pentagon cuts (our current budget has very little to do with “defense”) are fine with me. Conservatives simply need to realize that we can’t afford to keep policing the planet. We’re broke. It will be interesting to see if any down-the-line defenders of the Pentagon come out for tax increases at the last minute before the triggers! BTW, I find it amusing how many conservatives suddenly become promoters of baseline budgeting when it comes to the Pentagon.

DeMint, Rubio and Rand Paul have no chance with Mr. Cave-in McConnell doing the appointing. He has no guts to take a stand. Wouldn't surprise me. McCain, Lugar, Snowe (or Collins.)

If true, why should anyone be surprised? We knew that the dims would load the Super Committee with libtards. The Republicans should have known this, but they apparently can’t see the forest through the trees.
