Hello Federal Government! Are you Listening?

Stay the Hell out of the way! You F up everything you touch.

We don't need or want your involvement. Let Free Americans work it out among ourselves.

We will buy the foreclosed ramshackle houses, fix them up and sell them for a profit. In the process we will make money, employ people and put legitimate buyers in renovated homes.

You, the Federal Government are a group of malicious incompetent BOOBS. Go on vacation or to a convention or something. LEAVE US ALONE YOU DIMWITS!

Since you still don't understand the real world, let me be perfectly frank.
You do not “own” your property, you never have, and never will.

Yes, you bought it, and paid sales tax for it, but you also pay annual “property taxes” for it, in perpetuity.
You really merely rent the property you pretend to own from “the government”, as things stands now.

Think I'm kidding?
Miss a few tax payments.

But if they rent them out, in a year they will have to BULLDOZE them. The tenants will set them on fire, pour cement down the toilets, urinate on the walls, take dooors off the hinges, etc.

Oh I understand perfectly but that is not the issue I was addressing. I was just talking about how Fannie and Freddie were buying loans.

NO doubt there is ALREADY no such thing as “owning a home.”

But, if this is true, and it sticks, and the rest of us who are still paying, ....why should we EVER fix up a house again?

why should anyone bother? eh?

There won’t be ANY profit in it EVER again.

If you think the neighborhood went to hell wit all of the foreclosures, wait until you see those now empty houses full of Section 8 tenants.

We are all going to be just like Detroit. I may just puke.

Enter the Landlord Czar, and a shiny new agency. It will be sold as a “right”, just like Obamacare, and if you don’t like it, you’re racist, greedy, what-have-you. It will come with all those pesky “unintended consequences”, run at a loss, and become another monstrous burden to taxpayers. It will be so cheap as to put any small banks trying to compete out of business. Why own, when you can rent in the same neighborhoods at half the price.

Yippee! They are going to think my nice (faltering) neighborhood is not good enough and move out to the suburbs!

Why are 1 million foreclosed (or in the process of) homes owned by the feds?

That's a lot of housing.

Ahhhhh... the stories of the Sec 8 that moved across the street from my mom....

What really ticks me off is that the town invited them there.

The Obama administration will announce plans Wednesday to seek investors' ideas for turning thousands of foreclosed properties owned by government-backed entities into rental homes, according to administration officials.
The move is intended to put a floor under declining home prices by creating a way to deal with hundreds of thousands of potential foreclosures in coming years.

The most absurdly stupid and insane idea I have heard of ---- ever!

I challenge ANYONE in the US (I don't give a rat's elbow about the rest of the world,) to cite a SINGLE GOVERMENT ADMINISTERED subsidized rental scheme of individual homes, or a highrise, or a low rise, or a "community" ANYWHERE that does not very quickly disintegrate the facilities and become a cesspool of crime, mayhem, drug use, and unmaintained infrastructure that usually has to be dynamited within ten years.

Are those criminal as****es Dodd and Bawney Fwank anywhere within 1000 miles of this scheme?

Now Fedzilla is a property management agency.

And they will lose money on that.

You'll have to answer that one, based on your own financials.

The Feds are about to pull the rug out from all the honest homeowners owners who DIDNT use their property as an ATM machine.
And no, I am not slamming regular landlords, who acquired property with the idea of turning a profit on it, as a business.

But I'm not hearing a lot about the “property investors” who snapped up 10-40 % of new neighborhoods, and then defaulted on the mortgages when they couldn't find anyone stupid enough to “rent” from them.
The Feds and the Banks aren't screaming about “them” are they?
Maybe they will if forced to prove they still retain legal title to the property, even though they sold the debt, multiple times, laundering the money for someone.
