Bolling to lead the Romney campaign in VA

Posted on 08/10/2011 9:52:21 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

Last week, Governor Mitt Romney named me Chairman of his presidential campaign in Virginia. I served as Chairman of Governor Romney’s presidential campaign in 2008, and I am honored that he asked me to help lead his campaign in Virginia again this year.

Together with co-chairs Del. Barbara Comstock and Del. Chris Peace, we will be responsible for putting together Governor Romney’s grassroots organization in Virginia. Virginia is a crucial swing state in the general election, but we have significant work to do to win the March 6th Virginia primary and begin to build the infrastructure that will be necessary to defeat President Obama in next year’s election.

Today, we need your help to get Governor Romney’s name on the ballot in Virginia. Virginia law requires candidates to collect over 10,000 petition signatures statewide and 400 in each Congressional District. This is an enormous task that will require help from hundreds of grassroots volunteers.

Please email William Califf, Romney’s Virginia Organizational Director, wcaliff@mittromney.com, to let me know that you are supporting Governor Romney and how you can help his campaign in Virginia. I hope that you will agree to:

1.Let us use your name publicly as a supporter of Governor Romney

2.Circulate petitions to get Governor Romney’s name on the ballot

3.Recruit additional friends and family to support Governor Romney

4.Help organize your community for Governor Romney

Over the past few years I have developed a strong personal relationship with Governor Romney. I am absolutely convinced that he is the right person to carry our party's banner into the 2012 campaign and the right person to lead our country toward a more prosperous future. Governor Romney's experience in the private sector and his success as a political leader uniquely equip him to find solutions to the significant challenges facing our country.

As a successful business leader, Governor Romney will do what is necessary to balance the federal budget, reduce our national debt and put Americans back to work. He is exactly the type of principled, conservative leader we need to get America back on the right track. I look forward to campaigning with him to victory in 2012.

With your help we can start taking steps today to put America back on the right track toward fiscal responsibility and economic prosperity. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling

I am suiting up for attack so take your best shot. If they nominate a RINO I will vote Dem. At least that way, the fallout from historically bad social and economic policies will be owned by the Dems.

I really like Bill Bolling, I’ve met him and he’s a nice guy, and he’s been a solid conservative for us here. He did chair Romney’s 2008 campaign, but I obviously don’t hold that against him since I also supported Romney in 2008.

But I was really hoping he’d steer clear of Romney this time around, given RomneyCare and Romney’s tending toward the middle, especially given the number of good conservatives we have available. This was a bad move for Bill, and I suspect it has to do with his personal relationship with the Romney family.

The Supreme Court is at stake in 2012. We should pledge to support the GOP nominee for this reason alone. Regardless of who the GOP nominee is, his or her picks for the Court will be conservative - to protect his base.

We cannot allow Obama to choose the next set of justices. Period.

Then someone better guarantee no Romney. I will not be bullied into supporting a RINO. I know I am not alone in this reasoning.

Based upon Romney's pathetic track record of political opportunism and fundamental issue flip-flopping, there is no reason whatever for any actual conservative to EVER vote for him for any office much less POTUS. As governor of Taxachusetts, he did absolutely NOTHING against abortion, against sexual perversion posing as "marriage" no less, or for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Why trust him on taxes, spending, military matters, SCOTUS appointments or anything else. The proper course here is instead to determine not to let Lieutenant Governor Bolling to continue in public life.

Mitt happens. We don't need to let him happen in our party or in our country. If he would like to run in Demonratic primaries against Comrade O, there would seem to be no issue reason for him not to dos so. You don't really believe that Mitt's SCOTUS nominees would be any better than previous "Republican" nominees like Herod Blackmun, John Paul Stevens, Sandra Day O'BabyKiller, etc., do you??? Puhleeze!!!
