(CNSNews.com) - The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Tuesday that it has awarded $28.8 million to 67 community health centers with funds from the Obamacare health reform law.
Of that $28.8 million, "approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers," Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Spokeswoman Judy Andrews told CNSNews.com. HRSA is a part of HHS.
Andrews said that grant recipients will not check the immigration status of people seeking services.
“Health centers do not, as a matter of routine practice, ask about or collect data on citizenship or other matters not related to the treatment needs of the patients seeking health services at the center,” Andrews said.
Further, the grant recipients are required to serve "all residents" who walk through their doors.
“The Program’s authorizing statute does not affirmatively address immigration status,” said Andrews. “Rather, it simply states that health centers are required to provide primary health care to all residents of the health center's service area without regard for ability to pay.”
These Obamacare disbursements seem to contradict a claim President Obama famously made in a nationally televised speech to a joint session of Congress on Sept. 9, 2009.
“The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally,” Obama said then.
When Obama said these words, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) shouted out from the House floor: "You lie!"

Even that is questionable deeming as though some of the most heavily illegal laden districts are being caught left and right cheating on test scores (and no, I won't leave out the affluent areas caught up in the cheating scandals either).

That’s all Obama does. He just keeps lying and lying all day long. Anytime I see him talking I just know the guy is lying. It’s really the only thing he seems to do naturally.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone willing to vote for a pro amnesty candidate may as well follow their heart and vote for Obama. They’ll destroy the country as surely as Obama will anyway.

It's not the American tax payers job to pay health care costs to every one on the globe. If someone is from Mexico, they should bring their Mexican insurance policies with them.
We can survive without big governments money, but big government can't survive without ours. Starve that beast!
Next time you work overtime, or fill your gas tank, buy a large item, buy that stupid knick knack .... think about where the attached taxes are going. YOU'RE paying for all this vote buying garbage - often voluntarily! Federal income taxes are just a small part of the overall tax picture. There are still property taxes, state income taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes and excise taxes, just to name a few. You're actually feeding this beast in one way or another.
THINK before you buy, and deduct everything you can, or you're part of the problem.

Well, at the risk of being flamed ...
As long as our borders are not being enforced, we might as well give health care to illegals. Unfortunately, the cost of dealing with illegals spreading untreated infectious diseases to the population is too great to not offer some basic health care.
But, I think the money would be better spent on enforcing our borders ... But the elite seem inalterably opposed to that.
And we should be checking immigration status in emergency rooms - I wouldn't deny critical care to any human being, but once they are well - send 'em back!
If the democrats could figure out a way to benefit from child abuse, they’d discontinue requiring that, too.
