Everyone Is Saying Britain's Immigrant Communities Are The Real Heroes Of The Riots

One fascinating angle that keeps coming up in coverage of the London riots is the way that British press have been championing the bravery of immigrant communities in protecting their neighborhoods.
The Daily Mail -- not always the kindest publication to immigrant groups -- is today championing the actions of a group of Sikhs in West London who have been out on the street in an attempt to protect their neighborhood.
This follows the actions of Turkish shop owners in East London who had banded together to ensure their businesses were not looted:

There's also the story of Pauline Pearce, the jazz singer originally from Barbados filmed on the streets of Hackney berating the city's wild youth:

And finally, there's the story of the three members of Birmingham's Asian community who died in a hit and run incident while protecting their community. The father of one of the murder victims, Tariq Jahan, has been widely praised for his poise after the death of his son Haroon.
So it seems at least in the media, the British dream of multiculturalism isn't dead yet, despite what Russian politicians would lead you to believe.

Un-familiarity with white fury can be a hindrance to one’s life-span. One should really study up on this particular subject if one is a minority. You have right around 60 days to complete this test. Failure is not optional.

The PC press tends to tippy-toe around the facts, but I gather the rioters are “Holder’s People”, not the “Asians” (Pakis, Sikhs, etc.)

Sikhs as a group have always been well respected in Britain. To call them an immigrant group is accurate, but misleading as they are not one of the groups that have been causing the problem. Hiding that issue behind the Sikhs is just trying to muddy the water.
England is still over 80 % white. So I think no one wants a race war. That is probably why the coverage has been slanted.
The Vandals sacked Rome. Plenty of Romans joined in the looting. The barbarian invasions were not ethnically pure groups so much as rampaging “flash mobs.”
This isn’t even the first taste of the future. Anyone who saw Detroit and Los Angeles knows this story.
Of course much of the Western world (i.e., Greece, Italy, Spain, Japan, Russia) is scheduled to die off over the next 50 years. It should be an interesting ride.
Smart people always knew this ride was coming. This ride was known as far back as Enoch Powell’s Rivers of Blood speech in ‘68 I believe.
Of course if you know the story of Zimbabwe and South Africa or the Dark Ages you know how this will end.
My theory is that these working-class immigrants (and by this I mean immigrants who come to these Western countries to earn a living, not to leech off the system) have far more at stake in their new countries than the local citizenry does . . . so they have a steely resolve to deal with the circumstances in which they find themselves in London, Los Angeles, etc.

Supposedly the US is, too; I find that hard to believe. For the under-20 group, I’d say 40% white (with no evidence or support besides my own lying eyes).

Indeed, but the Sikhs, Turks, and Ghurkas can do a LOT with "alternative weaponry". I suspect quite a few of the law-abiding immigrants are Ghurkas. I suspect many of them still have their knives.
