Interesting.

Misleading headline designed to dispirit the right? I'm shocked! Shocked!

On yesterday's show, Mark Levin said Camp was a weak link. From ACU ratings, I'd have thought "Lightbulb" Upton would be the obvious weak link.

American Conservative Union (ACU) lifetime ratings:

Sen. Jon Kyle (R-AZ) - 96.72

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) - 100 (House term rating)

Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) - 88 (House term rating)

Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI) - 88.87

Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) - 72.23 (92% in 2010)

Rep. Hensarling (R-TX) - 98.96 (100% in 2010)

“...I almost despise Boehner and his ilk.....why not send in Col. West?”

West supported Boner and voted for this Politburo.

fortunately Pelosi’s picks are so hard-hard left this thing is going off the road and into the ditch

Yep! The selections made by the dimocrats tells me that they want the Committee to fail. I'm expecting almost nothing constructive out of the Committee and, for whatever they produce, the full congress will ignore. It's going to business as usual until we 'Throw The Bums Out'!!

WELL SAID!!

After all, common sense can’t hold a match to a military mind. WeTheTeaPartyPeople are way way too common for the elite mindset.

I’m in favor of a 20% tax on all money wired from the U.S. to Mexico and Central America.

Not all money being wired out of the US to Latin America is from illegals and drug dealers - some of us are expatriating our money and buying estates, businesses and investments out of the US to avoid Marxists like you feel that other people's money can be seized capriciously.

Apparently "equal protection under the law" is anathema to even posters here on FR who false advertise themselves with words like "Freedom". The US is toast since folks like you agree with the idea to plunder a class of people for no reason other than they have money.

Better to let the Democrats sink this ship, let the republicans go home, while we seek out revolutionary alternatives.

“You know, there is one (AND ONLY ONE) tax increase I could honestly support, and that is that EVERYONE who files a Federal tax return pay something, even if it’s only 1%.”

Everybody pays payroll taxes, if you have a job. There is no minimum. It’s a flat tax of about 15% and it is used to pay all of the government’s bills. It is a tax on income, even though we don’t call it “income tax.”

I think everybody should pay a fair share. I don’t believe the rich should be unfairly taxed, but I don’t believe that they should pay less because they are rich either. I think a man who makes $100 million should have to pay taxes at the same rate as a man who makes $100,000.

“It’s the spending, stupid!!

CUT THE DAMNED SPENDING, ALREADY!!!

You are absolutely right, of course. There’s never enough taxes to pay for everything people want.

But somebody has to stand up before the American people and say, “This has to go—we can’t afford it.” What do we tell them we can cut so as to balance the budget, and yet still win elections?

In the big leagues, no representative of either party is appointed to sit on such a weighty panel without his/her ultimate votes being known ahead of time. The outcome of each debated issue is known NOW. The final votes of each appointee are known NOW.

The upcoming meetings and debates of this unconstitutional panel will just be so much contrived docu-drama for the benefit of the lumpen proletariet.

Even Pat Toomey says that he isn’t going to support “big” tax hikes, but seems to admit that some tax increases are going to happen.

I am getting old and senile, so perhaps some of you can help me: Do any of you know when was the last time that a tax increase brought the deficit down?

Hey I don’t mind if he won’t rule out tax increases as long as he is taking about increasing the taxes on the 47%+ that don’t pay ‘em *winks*

Just another RINO who came to Washington with the intention of growing the size of government. We need to elect REAL conservatives to Congress.
