Obama embraces McCain's losing 2008 slogan
The Washington Examiner ^ | August 10, 2011 | Conn Carroll

Posted on 08/11/2011 2:38:02 PM PDT by RobinMasters

President Obama told a crowd at a battery plant in Holland, Michigan, this afternoon that Republicans must “find a way to put country ahead of party." Obama went on to say, "There are some in congress right now who would rather see their opponents lose than see America win."

Underlining the takeaway of Obama's speech today, White Hosue Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer tweeted: "Key element from today's remarks -- Put Country before Party.

Obama's new slogan, "Put Country before Party," is awfully close to Sen. John McCain's, R-Ari., failed 2008 presidential slogan "Country First."

After telling Congress to "Put Country before Party" Obama is scheduled to fly to New York City where he will raise money for the Democratic Party at the Ritz Carlton.

"Put Country before Party". That's just what the Tea Partiers in the Republican Party did. Back in the old days (of 2010) they would have been expected to go along with the first draft of the GOP surrender plan. Now they are willing to fight both the Republicans and Democrats to save the country.

I guess that partying at the Ritz for Democratic party cash donations is somehow putting country before party in Obummers eyes.

Is it that he has to use some of this weeks 9 day vacation time to make money that it is a sacrifice on his part, or is it that anybody that is not a democrat is not really part of the Country in his eyes?

So hard on the brain to twist it trying to understand Obamas Multi-layered Hypocrisy's.

“But which Country”

That’s what I always wondered when Juan McCain said it.

Obama’s opinion on conservatives’ patriotism is like asking George Custer his opinion on what constitutes a good Indian...

“Put country before party”

Great slogan. Why don’t you begin your campaign in Cairo?

You can chant it while you bow to tyrants.

Then tell us how the country is so much better because you prevented people from cleaning up the BP oil spill, and then prevented us from exploring our own natural resources while encouraging oil exploration in Brazil.

Tell us how smuggling arms to outlaws in foreign countries while proclaiming that you are working “under the radar” to undermine our second ammendment rights is putting our country first.

Explain, please Mr. President how shafting the bondholders of our failed auto companies in favor of the UAW placed the country before the party. Which party does the UAW support?

Your open threats to stop payments to our military (AT A TIME OF WAR!!!!) and to the most vulnerable members of our society was an excellent example of putting country before party (MAJOR SARCASM). Tell us Mr. President how you struggled against your party actually create a budget for over two years before your arbitry August 2 deadline.

FUBO
