Scarborough: 'Michele Bachman Is A Joke'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 08/12/2011 4:45:58 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

In a classic, table-pounding, tell-us-how-you-really feel rant, Joe Scarborough has ripped into Michele Bachmann, calling the Minnesota congresswoman and her candidacy "a joke."

Scarborough's impassioned anti-Bachmann blast came during Morning Joe's opening half-hour post mortem of last night's Republican presidential debate in Iowa. View video here.

I agree Michelle was not great and just the opposite of the last debate. She seemed very tired and stressed out.

Her exchange with Pawlenty was uncomplimentary. Of course Pawlenty was even worse in that confrontation.

This swamp turkey Scarborough is as desperate and unhinged as Matthews.

He's the one who's a "joke"....a sick joke.

How do these diseased minds remain on the public airwaves and rake in big bucks?

We, the people, are being enveloped in TV propaganda and verbal violence. With the passage of every night, we're a half-step away from explicit sex depicted on the screen. Even with poor ratings, the perpetrators march on unchecked.

It's truly frightening how the TV media has been taken over by the new fascists/commies.....just like academia, entertainment, journalism, corporations, our judiciary, many religious denominations, foundations, etc....all are infiltrated or already controlled.

Are the radio waves our last and only hope for truth, morality and civility?

Americans better wake up from their Rip Van Winkles and start voting with their pocketbooks on the advertisers.

Scarborough being a bloody liberal is so stupid it’s funny.
His show sounds like a Biden speech every day.

However, Fox News came across poorly last night, as well.

In what way?

I’m losing respect for Chris Wallace too.

I think he was trying to get Bachmann and Pawlenty in an on TV live fight for news footage they could use for promotions. Manipulating the candidates.

And mostly gotcha questions.

Scarborough announced his resignation May 2001. The intern died late July. If I recall it correctly Scarborough verifiably was not in town at the time. No connection between the events.

Insinuations someone may be involved in a homicide because they don’t take some floundering political candidate seriously is rather low. Just sayin.

FoxNews was the biggest loser in the debates last night.

We agree. It was clear Bachmann was well coached and ready. That said I could almost see the gears running in her head to “Answer 9”. She did not hide it very well when she was surprised. The one question about “submissive” I thought she was going to wet herself AND she did not answer the question.

She said that the debt ceiling should not be raised...

Yet IIRC, she voted FOR Cut, Cap and Balance which included a RAISED debt ceiling!

So is calling the US Congresswoman a joke.

Those insinuations are not a first and not mine. It's a suspicion among the general public.

Furthermore, joking about the dead girl on Imus's Radio Show like Joe Scarbrough did is what I would call "LOW". And to think her family had to listen to that!

Michelle Bachmann certainly didn’t do anything for me last night. I was actually disappointed in her.

I had the complete opposite take on her last night. I found her to be cogent & decisive. Firm in her convictions.

Admittedly, I only watched the first hour of the debate.

I am curious, what made you disappointed?

FoxNews was the biggest loser in the debates last night.

How so?

I thought Newt cut Chris Wallace down to size.

Bret was OK, IMO.

Are the other 2 Fox contributors? I like B York...never heard of the woman.

I was impressed with Michael Steele this morning. He's the one who set Scarborough off with the truth that Scarborough has become a NY City republican.

Steele also defended Michelle Bachman's Freedom of Choice Lightbulb bill which the others seemed not to even know about. Just giving mocking sneers. Good job Michael.

All I want to know is if Scarborough was dropped on his face at birth. If so it must have affected his brain because he appears to be bi-polar when it comes to politics. Mika is the token blonde( by choice it seems) and if you watch her facial movements, she appears like obammma, way over her head.

Did Joe go on his usual rant about the winning the I9 corridor? Did he throw in the special elections in Pennsylvania and New York for good measure? The guy is a complete fraud. A sanctimonious SOB. He keeps going on about this 3-to-1 or 4-to-1 deal as if those cuts were actually real or would ever materialize. At least Mika doesn’t hide the fact she’s a liberal. The problem with Joe is he pretends he’s a conservative when he’s anything but.

This was the entire debate. 95% of the questions had a “but” in the middle:

FoxNews: Candidate #2 “You once said_____ but in 2005 you________.”

Candidate #3 “You once said a woman should submit to her husband but if you were President today how would....?”

Gotcha questions! They were all like that.

Very few if any policy questions like: “How would you deal with this situation___?

They were all questions to contradict the candidate’s own words from one point in their life with words or actions from another point in their life. That was 95% of debate!

She will wear that as a badge of honor.
The assembled MSM called Ronald Reagan a joke for the years
1975-1980 inclusive.
