Mainstream media misses the point on debt ceiling
BizPac Review ^ | August 12, 2011 | Hal Valeche

I don’t usually watch a lot of network news, but a couple of Sundays ago, I had been out all day and wanted to see what was happening on the debt ceiling front, which was at its media-consuming peak that day. I tuned in to “NBC Nightly News” and was rewarded with this gem of an exchange between ace reporter Andrea Mitchell and the lovely Brian Williams:

Andrea (fighting back tears): “Our entire government seems to be dysfunctional.” Brian: “Some members have come to town and they don't care if they get re-elected. That is a whole new dynamic. They are here for a single issue and are willing to go down in flames at the polls if they achieve it or don't.”

I wish I had seen this exchange, but I can picture the whole scenario. It is pretty typical mainstream media garbage.

Good commentary on how the liberal media view Washington politics. They are absolutely flabbergasted and appalled by TEA party politicians that can’t be bought off and actually give a damn about what happens to their country rather than how they can be re-elected into their dotage. The contrast is startling and the author of the article, Hal Valeche makes note of it, exposing the go-along-get-along, business-as-usual mindset of liberal Washington ‘reporters’.

It seems really simple to me, but then perhaps I am just simple.

Democrats and the Media cannot refute the substantive arguments of the folks on the right, so they concentrate on the “process” instead.

If taxes are raised, it will happen in the short term, and the revenue increase, if any, will be used by the folks on the left to buy more votes.

The only answer is to cut spending now.

According to Brandrea and a thousand other overwrought talking heads, government ceased to function and our very republic was placed at grave risk because we elected some folks who 1) can’t be bought off, and 2) don’t care whether they spend the rest of their natural lives in D.C

A more honest media might say those new Congressmen had principles, but I guess no one who has been in Washington for a long time would recognize those.

Principles are so old fashioned and quaint.

The Game:

Having lived near or in DC for most of my life here is the "game" in a nutshell.

The Leftist MSM will prop up any RINO in the Senate and the House, give them air time and make them look "reasonable". Conservatives not so much. RINO's get invited to parties etc. while TEA Partiers are marginalized. That is why EVERY single last RINO must be eradicated. It is better to vote for a 'D' than a 'R'INO. That way the leftist can't exploit the "moderate".

I worked for the government for a time, and traveled to DC fairly frequently. I saw first hand the “old boy” network, Dems and Repubs drinking together at the local bar. I heard talk from “conservative” politicians and Federal employees that dismayed me. I remember talk of Obama back in very early 2000, from “conservatives”. It was at this time that I knew he was going to win. Its the culture there, it is bigger than any of us, or any group or party. When you go to DC, you don’t change DC, DC changes YOU.

Brian Williams is an imbecile of immense proportions. The congressional members do indeed care about their re-election. That is why they are fighting against the special interest because otherwise the constituents will vote them out. The Tea Party members are doing what they said they would do when they ran for the seat. They want to cut spending to save the country from destruction. Didn’t Williams see what happened in Wisconsin?

PS. For people who did not know, that is a wig on Andrea Mitchell’s head. She is an old skank who tries to hide her old age with young lap dancer hair styles. Epic fail on her part.

That simpering pansy Brian Williams is the reason I stopped watching ANY television news. His whining, enuretic, panties-wetting performance the night of the Virginia Tech. shootings put me off the whole corrupt, 'rat-buttkissing, bottom-feeding microcephalic bunch of them.

Heck, maybe someday I'll tell you how I really feel...
