California mulls giving 12-year-olds STD vaccine Gardasil without parental consent

WASHINGTON, August 12, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The California legislature is now pushing through a bill to remove parental notification for children as young as 12 to receive the dangerous STD vaccine Gardasil.

The American Life League reports that each treatment of the HPV vaccine Gardasil, has an average cost of over $360, a sum that would be footed by taxpayers.

Gardasil, the most popular HPV vaccine, has been found to cause dangerous side effects and as many as twelve deaths in the United States alone.

The state had attempted but failed in 2007 to mandate HPV vaccinations for all girls entering junior high.

Dr. Diane Harper, a former lead researcher for the controversial vaccine, told CBS in 2009 that serious side effects could prove riskier than the HPV the drug purports to prevent, and that “young girls and their parents should receive more complete warnings before receiving the vaccine.”

“The known medical risks and controversy demonstrate the true nature of this legislation: Sexual zealots in Californian politics believe that 12-year-old boys and girls are sexual animals that have no need or ability to control their own behavior,” said Paul E. Rondeau, director of communications for American Life League.

“The premise is that children will and should have sex regardless of what parents believe is best for their own sons and daughters.”

Hearings on AB499 are expected starting on August 15. If passed, California governor Jerry Brown is widely expected to sign the measure.

“Sexual politics is not about the health of children and families: Sexual revolutionaries grow their careers, manufacturers of so-called sexual preventions and cures like Merck grow their market, and distributors like Planned Parenthood grow their profits,” said Rondeau.

American Life League is sending an Action Alert to all its constituents in California, and urging its 115 national Associates to support the defeat of AB499.

apparently, you can’t tell the entire truth.

One of us can't and that would be you.

The order included an opt-out "in order to protect the right of parents to be the final authority on their children's health care." Perry ordered the Department of State Health Services to allow parents dissenting for philosophical or religious reasons to request a conscientious objection affidavit form. That form, which has been available since 2003, enables parents to enroll their children in public school even if they lack state-required immunizations. It's automatically granted as long as parents provide all required information.

Why does he need to have an executive order for a shot if there was a parental override option?

Actually, the EO offered parents more of an ability to opt out of all vaccines in the state:

http://wingright.org/2011/08/07/dose-of-reason-perry-and-gardasil/

The Governor’s Executive Order (RP 65) that caused all the controversy also ordered the director of DSHS to make it easier for parents to opt out of vaccines. The Legislature had changed the law from “opt in” to a requirement to “opt out” once for all the school years. Next, they changed to a two year limit on the opt out, and then in 2005, the Legislature restricted the period to one year and required a new State form bearing a “seal.” Parents had to go to Austin or start early in the summer. There were bureaucrats who maintained that the only way to get the form with the seal was to go to Austin, find the right office and make the request in person. Perry used his EO to tell the Director of DSHS to make the request (and the seal) available on-line, making it easier to “opt out.”

In fact, the reason for the Executive Order was to speed up private insurance coverage and to make it easier for parents to exercise their right to opt out.

It would be fascinating to know how much money is changing hands on this.

From what I understand is that any vaccine that is mandated by a Govenor can be fast tracked into the public and that is what happened in Texas. It was fast tracked even with knowledge of the side effects and the dangers of the drug.

How comforting. I posted earlier on this thread a couple of articles regarding the safety. It is not safe at all, and this guy wanted to fast track it to the public? Great. Kind of like we have to pass the bill in order to see what’s in it.

I know a lot of folks here don’t listen to George Nory but one night he had a doctor on who has been fighting this drug from the start and she has all kinds of horror stories and political shenanigans associated with he Merck drug. And Merck has a long history of death associated with their drugs.

"VERY glad I have no grand children."

That is an understatement. I have grandsons 2 and 4, I am so depressed every time I look at their pictures and think of the world they are going to inherit.

Perry did not allow parents to opt out?

“Why does he need to have an executive order for a shot if there was a parental override option? What a waste of time and taxpayer money.”

From what I have read it appears many health insurance companies would not cover the cost of the shots unless it was added to the states list of mandated vaccines. Tax-payer money was already being used to give the shots for to poor kids for free but then the taxpayer had to shell out even more money to get it for their own kids. Perry not only made opting out an option, but changed the opt-out procedure to make it easier for parents.

Sex education long ago ran off the rails and is no longer about learning basic biology (or as Jethro Bodine would say “goesintas”) and hygiene. It’s been about pushing the sex positive agenda (normalizing homosexuality and every other combination, smashing monogamy, and eradicating the age of consent).

They consider orgasm to be a birthright (read up on Reich, Kinsey, and SEICUS) to be shared with everyone at every age. They consider abstinence unhealthy and seek to end all moral judgements (and laws) against all pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner(s).

If it was about REDUCING teen pregnancy and disease, you wouldn’t be having the problems of RISING rates of pregnancy (aborted fetuses are still the result of PREGNACIES, those pregnancies MUST be counted, it’s not like “they didn’t happen) and STDs.

Promiscuity is encouraged and the faculty are taking full advantage of the youths.

Can the parents vaccinate the legislator without consent?

How about I just teach my daughter that if she sleeps around, she will get pregnant, have no one to help her raise the child, work terribly hard just to live a life of poverty, get old and ugly way too fast, and then get cervical cancer and die?

Plus, God sees all.

Really, that’s my plan.
