On the eve of Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perrys announcement that he will be a candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, Ann Coulter continues to push for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to enter the competition.
On Sean Hannitys Friday radio show, Coulter, author of Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America, made a prediction on how she thought things would shake out. But, she remains optimistic on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romneys chances against President Barack Obama should Romney be the Republican nominee.
This is a prediction for the future that Republican primary voters are desperate, as they should be to have a decent Republican candidate, Coulter said. No more John McCains because we have to take out this guy Obama.
Coulter continued, Right now by far and away, no matter what the media tells you listeners Romney is the odds on favorite and hes a pretty good candidate. I did not think he could win a year ago. But now, I think Obama has such a glass jaw and Romney has done very well. I think Romney could actually beat Obama.
Coulter, however, warned that RomneyCare and Mormonism would haunt the former Massachusetts governor in his campaign.
But still were uncomfortable because of RomneyCare, were worried hes going to lose votes because hes a Mormon and oh boy, you notice the media has said nothing about Mormonism now, Coulter said. As soon as hes the nominee, were going to have one exposé after another. Theyre going to be portrayed as crazier than the Scientologists.
But, Hannity added that by injecting Mormonism into a general election against Obama, it would make Rev. Jeremiah Wrights indiscretions fair game once again something that would seem to work in favor of a Romney Republican presidential candidacy.
As for Perry, Coulter later said she anticipates a disappointment that will lead a push for Christie to join the race.
Youll see Rick Perry, Coulter said. He wont live up to expectations and the American people will throw themselves into the arms of Chris Christie. Thats my scenario.
Compared to what--John Kerry?
Ann, Baby, since you joined the gay bandwagon,
Has she been watching too much Big Love? Has he promised her a chance to be his celestial wife or something? Get over Romney, we are not going to pick this bozo.
Christie is a dead horse in this race. His stance on gun control won’t let him out of the gate.
It’s LIBERALISM, not Mormonism, that will haunt Mitt.
Didn’t she date “Bill Mayer” LOL!
Has Ann been drinking the kool aid?
She’s been beating the Romney/Christie/RINO drum a LOT lately.
Maybe Ann Coulter’s going through that phase that men go through when they are in the 40s and start buying red sports cars and dressing in flashy clothes...maybe she’s hitting her 2nd teenage years now. LOL!
Ann, Baby, since you joined the gay bandwagon,
What is that about?
It's quite the mystery what she might do in her private life nowadays. Hmmm...
Yes Ann, we’re all aware you have been pimping Romney for several years now and I’m calling you out on the idea you didn’t believe he could win a year ago because you thought we could win in 2008 in a Democrat wave! I have no interest in following this woman’s lead on anything.
Is she married?
Could be. She’s no dyke though. LOL
The GOP has always nominated the front-runner. It has a history of doing that. Romney isn’t liked on here and its understandable but I’ll be surprised if the party breaks with past precedent.
What is that about?
Ann Coulter joined the gay Republican group GOProud and has agreed to serve the group as its "Honorary Chair of its Advisory Council".
Or in other words, he quotes the N.R.A.s official stance.
That said, she needs to get over her Chris Christie infatuation, the man isn't running, and its become overwhelming clear, he does not want to run, he has no desire to run, and doesn't want to get in the race, he does not want to commit. He has used every single excuse possible to say it. He does want to be a kingmaker (ala Sen. DeMint), but he does not want to be a candidate.
She needs to get over it.
At this point in 2007, Rudy Giuliani was the front-runner.
Hey Anne Baby...
Truck Mutt Romneyoid
Mitt Romney is just as bad a candidate as John McCain, and he would lose the election. A lot of conservatives would rather stay home than vote for such an unapologetic liberal republican. If he won, what would we really gain? No, thanks.
Compared to Obama, Romney might be “pretty good” but anyone on the debate stage was better than Obama.
I listed out of curiosity to hear what she thought of the debate. She went on and on and on about Christie and had to turn her off. How can anybody take her seriosly anymore?
Pray for America
Thanks. I had no idea. Ann must appeal to the dykes. Too bad if true.
Personally I fear Romeny more than Obama. If we have the House and probably the Senate Obama’s liberal ideas would be DOA. Romney’s liberal ideas would slip through, just like Bush’s prescription drug plan, campaign finance, and No Child Left Behind did, and amnesty for illegals almost did.
Back on the Romney bandwagon. You've lost your f'ing mind, Coulter!
And, unfortunately, Sarah Palin defended the participation of GOProud at CPAC, last year
GOProud will not be allowed full participation this year, and Rick Perry and the Response are blamed for backing the right wing “insanity.”
“Unfortunately, the increasing insanity of the modern GOP gives one little hope. Anti-gay zealots continue to use the party as a platform. This weekend, for instance, Texas Gov. Rick Perry will hold a stadium prayer rally in Houston that can only be described as Loonypalooza. Virtually all of the GOP presidential candidates are kissing up to the extreme right and seem terrified by intransigent, tantrum-throwing Teabaggers that came within in a hair of crashing the world economy this week.”
Uhm, no, Giuliani was the frontrunner early on last time and McCain was near last.
Coulter, Romney and Kerry all are members of the Ivy League club. In other words, they all consider themselves to be properly credentialled to be our “leaders” in the political arena.
People who aren’t from the Ivy League club are seen as “outsiders” and gap-toothed hicks who might mess up their gravy train.
Bill Maher was her last date. She may have swung over to the dark side after that.
Oh well. She’s too skinny for my taste anyways.
She is acting odd. Laura Ingram is another one that seems to like the RINOS.
The Elite know that Obama is done, so they are hedging their bets by making sure the GOP candidate is one of them.
I wonder how much they’re getting paid to spew this crap.
That and the fact that he isn’t running.
And he supports the ban on “assault weapons”
No Go for me!!!!!!!!!
Laura sure exposed herself as a RINO with her unwavering support of Boehner's debt reduction package. This, coupled with her daily ridiculing of the Tea Party, revealed her to be nothing more than an unprincipled RINO.
Another touch of reality of what we face in regaining control of the Republic as we recognize these false purveyors of the dichotomy that there are actually 2 choices of rulers from the big Demo+Publican Party. Coulter, Ingraham, GOP, DNC, Fox and many others ‘conservative’ or ‘progressive’ frauds may just all be part of the Big Ponzi.
The Political Whore list would fill a book.
Coulter still pushing THIS guy???
‘Chris Christie slams fearmongering over Sharia law
Aug 4, 2011
Republican Gov. Chris Christie defended his decision to nominate a Muslim judge to the state Superior Court against conservative critics who warned that the new judge will implement Sharia law. The notoriously blunt-spoken Christie calling their fears “crap” and “crazy.”
Joined the gay Republican group GOProud and has agreed to serve the group as its “Honorary Chair of its Advisory Council??
Coulter, you are dead to us.
