Watch out for pinkos at the RedState Gathering
Charleston City Paper ^ | August 12, 2011 | Paul Bowers

Posted on 08/13/2011 3:26:38 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

The Charleston Tea Party forwarded along a message this morning from Erick Erickson, managing editor of conservative news blog RedState.com. In it, Erickson warns attendees of this weekend’s TeaPartyPalooza — er, RedState Gathering — to be on the lookout for sneaky liberals.

The conference, which will feature talks from Gov. Nikki Haley and Texas Gov. Rick Perry at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, has been generating a lot of buzz since it was revealed that Perry would announce his bid for the 2012 presidency during his speech. A recent Zogby poll placed Perry at the front of the GOP pack, even before he was officially a contender.

Here’s what Erickson had to say:

Please be aware that, given the news relating to Gov. Perry, there will be a large media presence. Likewise, I suspect there will be a few lefty activists posing as reporters trying to get Gathering attendees to either say something embarrassing or something that can be edited into something embarrassing. Please use your best judgment at the event when engaged by others. Should you have any problems while there, please let me or one of the RedState contributors know about it.

So, if you go, be careful what you say to people carrying cameras. We're shifty sons of guns.

That was one of the first — I believe it’s a PAC video — and it’s great.

Calling everyone at FR a commie seems like a particularly stupid tactic since the issues listed cover pretty much the entire FR community.

True. Using Alinksy tactics isn't reserved for leftists, apparently. This sudden streak of support Perry or else has the same odorous stench of the McCainiac crowd from 2007-2008.

Liberals have a *look* that is almost always noticeable. Ne alert. Know that every wordand nuance is going to be taken out of context by somebody. It’s just a shame we have to even consider this crap.

Feed Perry collards.

Collard greens, the food of cavemen, Roman Pretorian guards, explorers, southern rebels and slaves, has been named South Carolina’s official leafy vegetable by the state legislature.

This dish can be found in nearly every “all-you-can-eat” restaurant that populates the deep south.

Hey look, your dixie cup is low. Better fill it up with Perry aid and slug it down. You’ve got a busy day of propoganda spewing ahead.

“Rick Perry as governor, used all resources at his disposal in an attempt to make a cancer vaccine available to Texas children.”

This bugged the h3ll out of me. Obvious that he is for sale to some special interest groups, and that in some part of his brain there is the tendency of state-ism.

What's obvious is, you didn't learn all the facts. You're an uninformed critic.

A critic based on what I know, yep. Uninformed on all the details, yep. So I’ll get informed. Thanx

Yep I’m smelling the same odorous stench of the McCainiac crowd from 2007-present and beyond.
But Perry does have better hair than John Friggin Kerry or Mitt Flipper Romney....or even that other TX BS artist, George ROP Bush! A pox on both GOP/DNC, neither worth warm spit.

Perry, shown here with Lewis in the background, was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1984. Did you know McCain had a hard time raising money in Texas in 2008?

Rudy out-raised McCain because a lot of Texans sat on their wallets or opened them up to Giuliani.

This is an interesting article about where Texas' campaign money and support was going in '08. Things just aren't back and white. Texas donors on fence for 2008 election

I love Pugs! Have two of them. Are you on Perry’s campaign staff or what? Your glowing reviews and constant re-posting of locked and loaded boilerplate pro-Perry material are a bit repetitive. It goes way beyond Gardasil-TTC-Border issues. I am a native Texan. I was four feet from Perry when he spoke at the first Arlington TEA Party gathering, manning the P/A system. Is he better than Obama? Yes. Is he a Conservative? Well, it depends on the time, place and audience. I won’t list all the troubling questions about Perry, but please tell me what you know about the Texas Franchise Tax.

CW bless you,

I did 4 hours of research. Rick Perry mandating a vaccine that was out for less than a year. It was called into question by endless agencies, I had one of the creators quoted about the negatives of the drug, but the links are gone,(sucks to loose your paycheck). I emailed her, as her comments on the drug are on the web, will hopefully hear from hear yes or no as she is university professor, wont cross my fingers though.

His relation to special interests- in this case are very long.

I didn’t go that long into the story but. A statist Yes, Mandatory= absolute government power, yes he was over turned. But Still......wtf ???????

Special interests, yup I’m not informed. It don’t count if there in your own bed, I get it!

More info on the mandatory drug that Perry approved, it has no bad side effects if you can’t read, and your children are the guinea pigs.
