Hold on. I don't understand this. Has their membership declined? Have their contributions diminished? Oh, you mean the dip in their income level is the result of them no longer being able to fleece school districts? Because schools are now able to seek competitive bids, they must now produce a reasonable service at a reasonable rate and compete? You mean free market and competition are successful means to keeping cost to consumers down? Why ... that just doesn't jive with what they've been telling us. Yikes ... that means they have been living high off the hog riding the backs of an oppressed class of society all this time. How very ... socialist.

Understand this. The State of Wisconsin had required that the local school boards deduct the teachers union dues from their checks and forward the money to the union. This practice has been stopped which requires the union to persuade the teachers to remit their dues to their union out of their pocket.
