WBC intends to protest Wed., 8/17/2011 @ 9:30 a.m. - Memorial Service to begin at 10:00 a.m. (Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS) for Navy SEAL Matthew D. Mason. Buriel will be private at Arlington National Cemetery following services in Missouri and Kansas.
Mason, 37, was one of 30 Americans killed Aug. 6 when a helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan by Taliban insurgents. The chief petty officer had seven tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was severely wounded in 2004 in Fallujah, which was the largest battle of the Iraq War.
Mason, whose wife, Jessica, is from Omaha, was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor device, Purple Heart and numerous other commendations. His survivors include two children.

I live in Topeka, home of Phelps. Over the weekend, there was a funeral service for a 19 year old soldier who died in an IED attack...the funeral was 20 miles from Topeka.
It was shown on the local news, tons of people and around 200 patriot guard motorcycles.
Guess what wasn’t on the news? - Phelps. Sure, his group was there....but the local media have become smart enough to completely ignore him.
No free press releases.

The WBC is comprised of thugs out looking for reasons to file lawsuits, and typically causing the reason to file the lawsuit. This “church” should be identified as what it really is and shut down.
These guys want nothing in the world more than to get their asses kicked. All the lawsuits are standing by. They’ll be filing papers on the way to the hospital, and laughing all the way to the bank.
I am guessing and hoping this ends poorly for those vile pretenders.
