A North Branford family was tied up for five hours in the wine cellar of their Northford home during a home invasion that police are calling random but "very brazen."
Five men, all armed, entered an Autumn Court home around 10 p.m. Sunday night, according to police spokesman Detective Sgt. Kenneth McNamara.
Police said the five suspects, wearing hooded sweatshirts and bandanas to cover their faces, pulled a woman out of the shower at knifepoint. Then, an elderly woman who was watching television was also held at gunpoint, police said.
During the melee, a 3-year-old boy who was sleeping over at the house was awakened. The boy's father said the 3-year-old told him he saw "monsters" in the house when he woke up.
The two women were tied up and the suspects waited for the male homeowner to return home. The boy was not tied up by the robbers, police said.
When the male victim returned home, the suspects confronted him in his garage at gunpoint and tried to get him to open the safe, which he was unable to do, according to police. Police said the victims were all put in the wine cellar as the suspects ransacked the house.
The victims were finally able to free themselves shortly after the suspects had left and called 9-1-1. No one was injured, but the family was said to be shaken and exhausted by the ordeal.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

and you cant execute em anymore up there...
..unless you’re an armed homeowner neutralizing the threat.
where are the descriptions?....race?...height?..weight?....language?...
In Connecticut?...they would execute YOU first!
wonder if there will be a blackout on the details of the creeps when they’re caught. You know, ethnicity and stuff.
Applying the never refer to a Democrat as such in the press principle to criminals. Seems very likely.
