I am so disgusted that "infrastructure jobs" are his idea of "job creation." Aside from the fact that these infrastructure jobs are a gold mine for his union buddies, we already pay fuel taxes, automobile taxes, ATV, tolls, excise taxes on purchase like tires, auto registration and licensing, etc.

All of those taxes are supposed to be going toward the upkeep of roads and bridges, but they don't. We could pay for our infrastructure 10 times over with the taxes we already pay, but that's the unspoken truth in DC. All taxes raised go into the general fund, and are disbursed as political favors. It's much easier to let a road go in disrepair for another 12 months than fund a project that could buy more influence elsewhere.

Hear! Hear!

I'm stick to death of his catch phrase "crumbling infrastructure" and John F'n Kerry's "infrastructure bank" idea. We wouldn't need a flipping bank for it if the money was spent right to begin with!
