Later this morning, we're going have a press conference with Secretary Mavis and Secretary Chu to announce something that's never happened in this country -- something that we think is exciting in terms of job growth.
I should point out, when you talk about the SNAP program or the foot stamp program, you have to recognize that it's also an economic stimulus.
Every dollar of SNAP benefits generates $1.84 in the economy in terms of economic activity.

Food stamps stimulate the economy much like a dead hooker stimulates an impotent male.

Food stamps are not stamps. They’re plastic cards, like a credit card. They used to be stamps and you had to submit them to the clerk in the store, which was good because they’re was a stigma to them back then and it may have encouraged some people with a sense of self-pride to get off of them as soon as possible. Now, it’s just a plastic card like every other credit card, so there’s no more stigma attached to them anymore. That’s a shame.
The real sign of an economy on the way to prosperity is citizens begging the government for food...only in Bizarrobamaland...
I like the logic. Cancel the credit card and instead issue food boulders.
Food stamps are a form of moral slavery.

Only decent people who USED to have a job understand how wrong and twisted food stamps are and get off them as soon as they can.
