It is not a stimulus when the working people have to pay for it, it is ANTI-STIMULUS. If the people that earned the money were allowed to keep it, they would spend it in various stores causing true stimulus. And they would invest it wisely, as they have shown that they can do because they were able to make the money as a profit. But when it is given to welfare recipients, they buy only food, and if any was left over to invest, they would most likely spend it foolishly, as they have shown a lack of money handling skills by their very lifestyle. If they did not receive the food stamps they would work and buy... food. Instead of spending their day in government handout lines doing welfare paperwork, they could spend their time in more profitable ventures. Welfare makes people perpetually poor.
Now figure in all the government costs of running the welfare department and the net gain is LESS THAN ZERO. Fore every 1000 dollars they take from a producer they deliver 700 to a person on welfare and spend 300 on themselves to hand it out. The very part of the economy that produces jobs and goods is being throttled to give a free ride for welfare and bean counters. Production is being converted to non production!
These government people are goobermint, brainwashed fools of socialist collectivism. And they have the hutzpa to call their destructive meddling STIMILUS.
The only stimulus I see is them padding their pockets with ill gotten gain. But that is the way of the world, there has always been stimulus to steal.
This moron is a perfect example of why the Dept. of Agriculture should be abolished, along with the Dept. of Education, Housing & Urban Renewal, Homeland Security, etc.
Isn't that the EXACT same number Pelosi used in the unemployment benefits extention argument?

Jfust look at the UK for what happens when this type of thing is utilized. Instead of working, these folks will
