Rick Perry on Rudy Giuliani: "He's the closest thing we have to a Ronald Reagan Republican in this race".
Slick-Rick apparently thought PRO-ABORTION, PRO-GAY, ANTI-GUN Rudy Giuliani was closer to President Ronald Reagan than was Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo and/or Fred Thompson.

The subject is Perry. Why do you Perrybots always have to hang another person on us? I want a Christian Conservative. A real one and not one who is a phony like Perry. I have not found a good one yet except Santorum. Rick can’t get votes going because he backed Arlene Spector in his last election. We don’t need a phony like Perry or Romney.

I have said that here before. There was a mass-culling of Rudy Giuliani supporters from FreeRepublic back in 2008 where anyone advocating for Rudy was banned. Would Rick Perry have been allowed to do what countless others were not? The logical answer is, no. So why is he suddenly the savior of the conservative cause? The logical answer is, he is not.
Perry is a snake who doesn't deserve the Republican nomination nor does he deserve to be POTUS.
"Polls show that people are responding to his tax message, to his war on terror and his strong fiscal conservatism. I mean that is the key here, the people are paying attention to his message and, yes, I think he is going to do well in Florida. I think he going to win Florida."
I will add, that Giuliani did poorly in the Florida Primary and dropped out the day after the election. I guess you can LOL that Perry got it wrong.

One of his comments he talked about Reagan. Towards the end of the video he made the comment which is the quote I gave you word for word. It was this comment that Perry made the distinction that Giuliani was a fiscal conservative. So, listen to the words in the video and I am sure you will agree that Perry meant that Giuliani and Reagan were the same type of conservatives fiscally. As for a social conservative, I will agree with you, Giuliani was not a Ronald Reagan conservative in that sense.

Yes, he did make the comment about Reagan and Giuliani being conservatives. That is the comment you are hung up on. And, you refused to understand that this comment was without the distinction he later made in the interview. That is the one I quoted which says Giuliani was a fiscal conservative. Why you fail to understand that Perry specified the type of conservative he had in mind with the earlier quote is beyond me. I can’t make myself more clear about it and I cannot understand and am troubled by the dramatics you have put up in your responses.
No, he doesn't care. If he doesn't care that Giuliani is for killing babies why would he care if Giuliani cheated on his wife?
