Do you honestly believe that just because you have been a member longer than I have, that that fact gives you some silly non-existant right not to be challenged, and thus entitles you to insult or chastize those who disagree with you? Come on, Buckwheat. Get real. Or better yet, why don’t you talk to JimRob and come up with a set of rules that establishes how long “newbies” have to wait before engaging jerks like you in a debate. Do you have any idea how silly that sounds. What is this, an AA meeting. Do I have to sit quietly and let the old-timers lecture me for 30 days before I can contribute to the debate?
Am I wrong, or is this website not a place for conservatives to engage in debate (sometimes heated, and sometimes cordial).

When does somebody like me receive official permission or approval from somebody like you? Does it include a nice certificate with a gold star?
If JimRob has a problem with me, my comments or attitude and wants to boot me off FR, well that’s fine because it’s his website. Not yours!

You don't know what you're talking about. You have no idea what goes on around here and what has gone on for years. This isn't a difference of opinion about something you may have different experiences with.
It's something you have NO experience with.
Your sign up date proves that empirically.
But don't let that stop you from opining about something you haven't the first clue about.
On cop threads there is a spectrum, bounded by the “pro-cop-whatever-the-cops-do-it-is justified” on the one hand to the “all cops are jack booted thugs”. The shorthand for the former is “cop-sucker” and for the latter “cop haters”.
From my point of view the pro-cop crowd is generally associated with the police industry, either directly or indirectly. You'll see some very interesting twists in logic as they try to justify outrageous police actions and activity (e.g., Fullerton).
Personnaly I treat police with skepticism and do not consider them heros. I believe they should be held to the standards of the community, so I am probably viewed as a hater.

What the hell does that mean? There is absolutely no substance to what you are saying. Rather it is non-sensical. Furthermore, your statement that “this isn’t a difference of opinion” is in fact a lie. That is EXACTLY what it is. Our disagreement is based entirely upon a difference of opinion, and while I am still attempting to debate you about our differing opinions, you refuse to debate the matter and prefer that I just shut up and go away. What are you? A liberal posing as a conservative? What you are essentially telling me is that, because you have been a member of FR longer than I have, you don’t have to use any supporting argumentative facts to prove that your argument is superior, and instead, that I must accept you are right and I am wrong. That is a classic tactic that liberals/progressives use when they can’t defend their position.

Thanks for the support. I know exactly how you feel. It is absolutely assinine how many FReepers turn a blind eye to “rogue cops” because they are either current or former LEOs or have some connection to law enforcement. (Shoot the messenger and ignore the message, eh?)
Regarding your example of the Fullerton PD. Be advised that I grew up in Fullerton, still have family that live there, and know more than a few cops in that department.
Check out my comments on previous FPD threads. Should help you understand my deep distrust of “rogue” elements within law enforcement.

What you fail to grasp, is that the disagreement isn't over the moral standing of police officers, which anyone can be informed on.
It's SPECIFICALLY about what goes on here at FR. If you've got a join date a month old, you obviously can't have an informed opinion on what goes on at FR.
Give him time. I still feel there needs to be a police section just like the lists for SCOTUS or tyranny. So that the deniers can see the evidence of why they are wrong.
Don’t get me wrong, I think police work is noble. I was on another thread earlier defending an LEOs actions. But they need some serious house cleaning. Even the good cops who don’t behave poorly cover for bad cops who do. Just look at the second officer in the Canton Ohio video. Though I have to wonder if he was just as afraid of the nut case as I would have been.
Your rambling post still does not answer my question. I asked you for an example of the strawman that you listed. I know this is going over your head, but try to think about your first post, and what “strawman” means.
Strawman generally means fictitious situation. A what if scenario like abortion proponents use, like rape victims. I’ve given specific names and situations. But you don’t want to accept that. So geothermal you are a cop, or you can’t learn from the experience of others.
What is the standard then? Three months, 11, two years?
