OBAMA: One of the challenges in terms of rebuilding our economy is businesses have gotten so efficient, that, uh, when was the last time somebody went to a bank teller? Instead of using an ATM. Or, used a travel agent instead of going online. A lot of jobs out that that used to require people now have become automated.

He’s still on about this? What an idiot.
Poor buggy whip makers still out of work.
I guess he’s also talking about his internet donations to his campaign? I guess also that he wants them to stop?
All the time. Unless the extent of your travel is point-to-point commuter flights. For those of us who travel abroad frequently, I wouldn't dream of not using my agent.
The best campaign commercial can be made from linking all the excuses this man has made as to why he can’t do the job.
The ATM excuse
The GOP excuse
The Bad luck excuse
The internet did it excuse
and so forth.
In the private industry sphere, make excuses and you get canned.
At least he has someone else to blame, as usual. He can say he ‘inherited’ this problem from Al Gore.
It’s ALGORE’s fault!
Cotton Gin —scourge of the nation.
Hey how many horses are now idled, owing to the smoke-spewing, bang-bang, ENGINE...?
I thought the culprits were ATM machines and airport kiosks. Can’t this guy make up his mind?
So it is algore’s fault?
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
He needs to go to Oregon where there are no self serve stations in order to preserve station attendant jobs.
They do, however, allow motorcyclists to pump their own gas since the attendant may scratch the tank etc, but you still have to give the attendant your credit card so they can put it into the machine and press the button....LOL!
Next up for B.O. : Flip Wilson “ THe Devil made me do it”. Dat dang ol’ devil......
Nope. It’s not the internets fault...it’s my fault. I’m white, pay my taxes, pay my mortgage, self employed. Yep. My fault.
The undocumented Kenyan primitive is sooo, fricking, stooooopid.

If the Buggy Whip makers had better unions we would still be using horses......
SHUT UP & LEAD IDIOT!!
And most grocery stores here replaced union workers with automated checkers that dont require health insurance. That is all well and good, however back in 2008 when Obama made all those optimistic quotes below I remember him claiming the POTUS is responsible for unemployment, not automation. Do these still move you?
Change will not come if we wait for some other person or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for.
This time we have to write a new chapter in American history. This time we have to seize the moment.
That has always been the cause of America. That's why the world has always looked to America. And that's why I believe America will continue to lead.
There are some structural issues that I think we have to deal with, to make sure that everybody is seeing a growing economy but also, everybody is prospering at the same time.
Let us remember that if this financial crisis taught us anything, its that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers.
He’ll keep throwing blame out hoping something will stick.
The smart Business's got very efficient. They stopped hiring when Obama-care was being legislated so they would not get in trouble.
Then they got waivers for Obama-care in exchange for campaign donations.
The ones that couldn't get waivers just stopped hiring.
Now the smart business's are waiting to see if Soebarkah is reelected before they hire.
There may be some truth to this. I think the internet played a role in the number of Democrats who lost their job last November.
Guess all that high techy stuff comes from the fairy jobmother.
What, they don’t have the Internet in Texas?
” There are some structural issues that I think we have to deal with, to make sure that everybody is seeing a growing economy but also, everybody is prospering at the same time.”
Gee.....that’s a neat trick. It has never happened anywhere in human history. Reagan was the closest.....It requires a fascist dictator to pull it off.......of course, all the dictator would actually accomplish is abject misery for everyone....which is pretty much what America has become.
General Electric moves an entire manufacturing plant to China and he blames the internet??? In order to believe Obama anymore, you can’t be just “drinking the kool-aid”, you have to be taking it intravenously.
. . . just last year he said internet access was a “right” and that he was going to make sure everone would have access to high speed broadban service.
"Agriculture, manufactures, commerce, and navigation, the four pillars of our prosperity, are the most thriving when left most free to individual enterprise." - Thomas Jefferson
"The enviable condition of the people of the United States is often too much ascribed to the physical advantages of their soil & climate .... But a just estimate of the happiness of our country will never overlook what belongs to the fertile activity of a free people and the benign influence of a responsible government." - James Madison
Add it to the list.
Zero calling for internet regulation?
Federal taxes on internet usage?
Is this a part of his new jobs plan???
Last Saturday you PUTZ!! You can't get a Cashiers Check from an ATM!
so the car is the fault of the buggy whip makers going out of business and this is a bad thing?
Obama’s ecconomic thoughts are so ussr.
when did customers have 24 hour access to their deposits pre atm?
I want to see a general election debate where one candidate stands up and just says
Mr. Obama is there anything or anyone other than yourself that you have not blamed for your failures?
More stupidity from the semi-Kenyan. His scheme is to campaign among voters stupider than he is and get their vote
And ATMs. Don’t forget those. Hey, I know — let’s tax internet transactions — not just interstate sales, but every packet of data — as well as data packets moved in the banking data systems. We’ll balance the budget in no time. /s
