He’s just being a lawyer. He wants to make sure future Justice Dept witnesses have a chance to have rehersed responses to the most damaging documents and that they say “I don’t know” where the documents would contradict their testimony.

I disagree. Once a Special Prosecutor takes over, there will be no further Congressional hearings. The issue will disappear from view and nothing will be made public before Nov 2012. This crime needs to be exploited, not hidden.

Fast and Furious is a gift from Obama we should not squander. I hope Issa slow walks his inquiry. Plan the hearings and revelations such that a Contempt of Congress citation is issued against Holder next August. Follow that with his prosecution and careful leaks that implicate Obama all the way up to the election.

Two can play the October surprise game. Let's do it.
